Zero. Not hitting Chicago because A) we'll have a new baby and B) $115? Seriously? That's just price gauging preying on the aging fanbase. DMB are not even on the radio anymore, they are not worth $115 a ticket.

I guess they are including the cost of the new album into the ticket prices?

Actually probably more interest if it's an album tour. The sets won't be as varied, but it'll be something new. If it's on the level of BWGK and AFTW, I'd be good with that.

100% interested. They're getting older. This might be the last go.

That's one of the things that makes me interested even though I'm not probably going to be able to make it to any. I don't think this will be the last go but you never know.

so you buy a pair of tickets and pay for the album twice? Or is the second ticket price reduced? Uh huh....

Barring something tragic, there will definitely be a few more tours at least.

Yea I agree. I don't need 4 copies of the album when I attend a 2-nighter.

What about Dead and Co? They're asking $185 for lowers. No songs on the radio, and they're a killer live band. Are they just as guilty? Because personally, there are no two bands I've rather see this summer than DMB and Dead Co. $185 and $115 is a huge difference. In this day, prices are relative. DMB aren't that bad for a band playing the amphitheatre circuit for the 20th year in a row. I hardly call them price gauging on an ageing fanbase. Compare that to other bands prices who cater to the 30+ crowd. They're among the the very lowest, if not the lowest.

They also have John Mayer--who's a young, top act playing with them and The Dead's music and image is completely ingrained into our American Pop Culture at this point. They are legends. I wouldn't put DMB in that same category at all.

So, Camden Dead & Co are absolutely NOT asking $185 for lowers. And they have reserved seats as low at $55.

AND THEY'LL ACTUALLY PLAY THEIR GOOD MUSIC INSTEAD OF FORCING SOME CRAPPY NEW SONGS DOWN YOUR THROAT EVERY NIGHT

mario, I know I give you a little shit here and there... but I really must ask: what are you trying to accomplish? You are hell bent on making sure we look at DMB the same way you do. Why? Who cares?

Genuinely curious.

Why don't you ask shadowraven or greykitkat what they are "trying to accomplish"?

I saw someone post a falsehood and, since I bought Dead & Co tickets this morning, posted the correct fact.

If you want to go ahead and white knight for Dave fucking Matthews Band on the internet, do it to the two people in who started the conversation.

I mean I just think concerts are expensive. The beauty of it all is that we get to choose which ones we attend.
