I had so many doubts about D&T at an outdoor amphitheater. This was so much better than I expected. A full band show vibe at a D&T show was something I never thought would work but for the most part it did. Sure there was a lot of movement, chatter white noise at times, and the occasional dbag, but the sound was so loud and crisp that almost every song drowned it out.

Doesn't hurt that the setlist mixed predictable stuff with amazing stuff. After the first three songs I wasn't too hopeful or into it, but after that I loved the show through the end. Also, some predictable songs were major unexpected refreshing highlights for me (LITHOG, YMDT, Samurai, Jimi). Especially loved Two Step and LIOG were incredible too. And Betrayal was insane.

And with so many standard tunes out of the way, tomorrow should be even better.

Better than expected for me too. Lot of hits to keep the audience into it I think helped.

I still prefer Dave and Tim indoors but man a really solid night 1. The band songs were well placed, like Tomacco said., the show started off super mellow but YMDT was fantastic and really got the crowd into it. Can't argue when you have BOWA, Jimi, two Step, liog, stone, rapunzel, ants and more in the same set.

Betrayal was amazing, Tim totally destroyed it. One of my personal highlights for sure. Two Step was insane. Space Between was really awesome as well, I was surprised. Rapunzel was fantastic. Tomorrow should be interesting they literally played all the hits tonight..really only Crush and WAYG left for tomorrow in terms of hits. Lot of big hitters though too (seek up, minarets, warehouse, Nancies, 41, watchtower, granny, crush, etc)

First 3 were brutal cause of the predictability. All up from there tho.
Any time I can get BOWA, Stone, Rapunzel, and Jane in a D/T set I'm thrilled. Really all that I'm after nowadays, just a few rarer tunes by d/t's standards mixed in.
And As others have mentioned two step was insane.

Had great seats up front but not sure d/t works in that setting. It was ok but nothing I'd want to become the norm for them

I hope to see Jane, rapunzel, and stay believe it or not
So last night hit two of them so I would have left happy
I could go without gravedigger and save me the rest of my life too

I'm curious to see what they put out for CMAC
A single night stand but also played last yr

WOOF, that would be highly dissapointing unfortunately extremely realistic, if they aren't going to dig into the catalog at all tonight that's probably going to be pretty close. I can see Seek Up getting play tonight though but damn I hope they dig a little deeper tonight and give us at least a couple of cool gems.

I'd really like to see dodo make a return tonight, weird how they only played it a few times and then not even once since the beginning of the Europe tour
