That Classic SPAC 2010 example. He told Dave to play Minarets, Dave starts noodling, realizes the similarity to Dreamgirl, and plays that

Not sure why, but Stefan looks completely miserable. Carter's solo, to me, is good.. but right after he looks at Dave like "holy shit.."
Apologies to those who had a good time, this sounds awful

The whole thing? I understand every one loves Two Steps of old and all, and my favorite is 5/21/02, but I still think Tim and Carter and the end of this are pretty great. Carter does make big eyes and gives a sigh at Dave after his solo like "I'm old" though I can't hate on this weekend even though I long for the old days or something truly fresh.

You know Carter is beat after Two Step when he doesn't throw out his typical 20 pairs of drumsticks.

He seemed really pissed and overall moody in Camden too. Not smiling as much as he usually does. I saw him smile once all of N1 and it was during LLD on Jeff's solo. Not sure what his deal his, but I doubt it's the setlists, or lack of rarities. He's one of the guys who still eggs on the Warehouse Woo's even though they don't do the "woo" intro anymore. Could be anything really, maybe he's bored, maybe there's stuff going on behind the scenes we don't know about.

Remember when Stefan was pissed about D+F and Some Devil? Well, with these solo album rumors popping up, could be a similar thing. Which is stupid at this point, but you never know.

I wouldn't say they have "beef" with one another....but I think they're burnt out and all lack any sort of chemistry, drive or desire to be out there making music with one another. I've seen bands who are locked in and feeling it with absolutely no issues, then I see DMB.....it's like night and day and I just feel this group needs a long break if not a breakup. It's FULLY run its course, as much as we, as a fanbase, don't want to come to grips with it.

What they're playing right now....the shows.....it's not good. It's just not good.

He did that before the encore, then a few more after Two Step, gave a head to some young guy.

Maybe he's just confused and experimenting

Like the last 10 minutes. It's just pure noise. DMB is all about the cum shot.

I thought that Two Step was pretty great. Tim and Carter click a few times during Tim's solo and the Higher Ground outro absolutely rocks.

This is trying way too hard to be funny. You even said it's 10 minutes. Wouldn't the cum shot analogy only work if it were lower key, then a high spot of noise at the very end? You said the exact opposite.

Worst part of the show was the "Thank You" chants during #41.

I think the at Dave acknowledges Carter at the end of two step is an a absolute dead giveaway how much these tunes take a toll on Carter these days. That wasn't a "carter Beauford on the drums!!!" acknowledgment, that was "man, can't believe that old guy still got through that tune."

Carter does it to himself though. They decide how hard they play songs.

I'm sure that's why there was no Ants.

Not necessarily. A half assed two step won't sound like two step. A half assed belly belly nice will still sound belly belly nice.

Two Step has had very different sound throughout their career. They decide how it's played. Listen to to a 1995 version and then now. It doesn't need to be a gigantic song.

I don't think you're paying attention to enough to Carter in all those versions and the energy it takes for him to play the song regardless of how loud it is.

I'd imagine, though, an 8 minute Two Step is a lot easier than a 14 minute Two Step, right?
