Do we have a good released 3.0 version?

I count 11 full band tours without Hello Again. 6 Summer and 5 miscellaneous Fall/Spring. Either way, it's a hell of a lot.

No, we don't have a 2010 sbd version.

HA sucked on SU and didn't make any sense on the album but it didn't really effect the song live so whatever. It's more annoying that it went the way of the rest of the 2004 songs and totally disappeared. If anything that should be the one song from that garbage album that still gets consistent live play.

They were pretty messed up throughout the recording, I guess.

But it doesn't explain why Stand Up sucks. They picked a shitty producer and took the easy route instead of working towards something great.

This is what made me quit for a few years. 4 great songs that were awesome on the 2004 tour, and then dropped for fucking "dreamgirl"

I know it's been beaten here for years, but it's worth another visit.

They went from this

to this

in a few short months.

What the hell?

the Hello Again 2010 video series didn't have a released version of Hello Again?

I'd make the arguement though that Hello Again doesn't get played that much anymore though BECAUSE it was on Stand Up. A largely forgotten album in the live setting.

Certainly possible, I'm just thinking that the other songs from the batch HA was spawned from also largely fell off the map so it's hard to say if being on the album or not had a significant impact.

Post '04 Plays

Joyride: 11
Sugar Will: 23
Crazy Easy: 5
Good Good Time: 10
Hello Again: 6 (used post 2005 since it was obviously played on the album tour)

When they played Hello Again in 2010 it sounded soulless. I understand why they stopped, I think it needs an organ

This makes me sad. Meanwhile, can't stop has been played 500 times.

How were the 2005 HA's? My memory is that they actually sucked compared to the '04s, but its been 13 years...

I remember the Roseland '05 version being pretty good. It just didn't have the intro on it.

I adore that version. The Carter solo is simple, but utterly perfect. What a great show opener.

Man, Hello Again was a BADASS way to open up Alpine ‘04. I was surprised they opened with a brand new tune, and the way they confidently swaggered out and knew it was a good enough tune to start it all off with was great to witness. Dad turned to me and said “THAT was cool!” Said something similar halfway through Sugar Will, too, but we all had Hello Again stuck in our heads till the tape came out

It'll never happen but I would love to see a record store day EP vinyl release of the 2004 songs. Have them all together like they should have always been.
