I guess Roger Waters has a new album coming out soon titled Is This the Life We Really Want? I hope it isn't forced political commentary. I really want an album that is more than background music with a political essay sung over top.

No such luck for Pink Floyd. Very very very little video exists of the '77 tour which is when they played the album in full. Unfortunately this is about the best we have - [Only registered users can see links.]

RW never did Animals in its entirety in a single show to my knowledge

5/9/1977 is by far the most legendary recording from the tour, it truly is unbelievable how great it came out.

This is the most superior transfer of it -

You're gonna have to register at the site, but it's like our version of dreamingtree can't go wrong with it

Man I'd give anything to go back in time to this tour. Set I Animals, Set II WYWH, and they even busted out Careful With That Axe for the only time that entire tour

300$ plus for floor in Philly (not stub hub). I'll pick one up the day of the show.

For anyone wondering, Roger's new album is DEFINITELY worth a listen. I think it's the best thing he's done since The Wall.

I am sure working with Nigel Godrich had something to do with the quality here, but either way... great stuff.

Thanks for the heads up on that. I was definitely going to listen but I was really turned off by seeing Waters ridiculous and way over the top anti-Trump antics at his recent shows. Definitely going to save the $300 and pass on his live "show" this year, but I'll rip the album.

Waters is such a cunt between talking shit on Nigel's process before the album had even dropped and now his whole back and forth with Thom Yorke

True story. I don't agree with his politics, but I enjoy the art he creates.

Coming full circle with this thread, I had a massive Hard drive crash earlier this week. And I hadn't backed it up in awhile. Crushing loss. Gonna go ahead and try to reover what I can

I've heard that. No surprise Jonathan Wilson was a big part of the project. Recorded in his studio, too.
