I enjoyed it. It's epic fantasy, but I dig complex stories. There are lots of factions tossed at you initially, but I think that most people should be able to keep it straight after another episode (if the pacing keeps). That's about all I remember from the part of the book that I read.

I was exhausted last night and passed out a little early, so I ended up missing it. I'm gonna try watching it on demand tonight or tomorrow though.

I've really gotten into this, more than I thought I would. I loved Rome and Deadwood, and was so disappointed when they were cancelled.

I love this series. I'm definitely going to read the series once I finish King's 'Dark Tower' series.

Only complaint I have is that their are some many fucking names and I keep getting confused. I also keep forgetting who killed who. Ex:
Spoiler:
Did Jaime Lanister kill the old Hand to the old King? ~AND~ Did the Old King die of poisoning? If so, who is the suspect?

I should probably just rewatch/read up about it.

[Only registered users can see links.] has an infographic that they update after each episode that shows who is related, who killed who, etc. Updated versions are at the bottom of the post.

Show is awesome, I am going to be forced to start reading the novels after the first season is over.

Jamie Lannister killed the old "Mad King" Targaryen, hence the nickname the "Kingslayer"

He did not kill the Hand of the King, Jon Arryn, that is still a mystery and believe it's not til the 4th book that this actually gets revealed.

awesome. my biggest regret with this show is getting into it right at its inception, so I have to actually wait a week until the next episode is aired to watch it

I love the imp. I didn't realize they had snark in medieval times.

I bought the books, god help me. Going to try and start with the first book, hoping it has enough additional detail to keep me interested.
