That was pretty fucking good. What was the deal with the opening sequence though? My recording started late for whatever reason, and I saw him shoot that zombie girl and it started... but then it moves on and he doesn't know about them. Was that just a clip from what is to come?

It opened up with him driving his squad car to a camp looking for gas. He is wandering through all the cars with dead people and he hears someone walking, he calls out to the little girl that he is a police officer and everything will be ok, then she charged him and he shoots her. After that they go back to him getting shot and waking up in the hospital, The opening takes place between him leaving the police station and him finding the horse

Just saw the first episode.

Holy shit, it's awesome. I haven't watching Breaking Bad or Mad Men; are all AMC shows this good?

Guess I got some catching up to do. I saw one episode of Mad Men, and it didn't do much for me, but I could see that being a show you've got to stick with a bit to grab a hold of it.

Just caught the second episode of this, and loved it just as much. I love the post-apoclayptic stuff. And "he's an organ donor" got a huge laugh.

No surprise, but AMC officially ordered a 13-episode second season today.

well you can't just watch a random episode of mad men and get even a 1/4 out of it what you would if you started from the beginning.

but i recommend watching breaking bad first. best show on television hands down.

this.

BB is so fucking good it's ridiculous. It's always the first show I reccomend to somebody looking for something new right now. Incredible. Walking Dead is fantastic so far too, excited to hear it got a second season pick up. Dissident, did you watch Rubicon? That's the only show on AMC I haven't seen yet. Thoughts?

i've seen the first 4 ep's of rubicon. it's definitely good, but i was multi-tasking during a lot of it so by the 4th episode i had no fucking clue what was going on. it's complicated, low key, and requires all of your attention so i think i'm just going to try and give it a proper watch when i have more time.

I am glad this got picked up for a 2nd season of 13 episodes. I know they said the plot will vary from the comic books but I just burned through all 80 issues (thanks dcp!) in the passed few days... If we ever get to see issue 48 on the small screen it will be brutal...
Now to go watch episode 2 on demand...

i don't think i'll ever read the comics after seeing some of those who have react to the first two episodes. i just want to enjoy the show, all the comparisons to the comic (not here, but other places) are just insufferable.

^ I had read a few here and there, but it is so serialized that the issues really continue right into the next and I had no idea what was going on or the importance of a lot of the relationships and deaths. I am glad they are doing their own thing with the TV show but they do have some pretty awesome source material to draw from.
