Got it now! This is the coolest thing I've seen a band do in awhile for preording.

i hope we unlock all the levels by the time the pre-order closes, apparently we're close to unlocking Level 7.

1.20.09 is going to be a long day with listening to Mantis, plus the other 5 (maybe more) levels that are unlocked

i have two theories here:

I. The 9 Levels were all a hoax to get people to pre-order; they were going to offer the bonus material all along.

II. We didn't really reach the 9th Level, but they decided to give it to us anyways.

I'm leaning more towards the second, but either way, this was awesome of them to do.

i'm looking forward to bonus level 9, we'll have the new album + the live set (which I'm assuming will contain quite a few new songs from 1.19)

Hello and thank you for pre-ordering Mantis!
With just a week before Mantis is finally released, we are getting your order ready to ship and getting all the bonus content ready to make its way into your UMLive.net account. We couldn't be more excited for you to hear Mantis, and the time has nearly come. We want to make sure you know what to expect once release day is here:

- The Mantis CD will be shipped to you with every intention of it being in your mailbox on Tuesday January 20th. We have been very careful calculating shipping timetables and taken every measure possible with the United States Postal Service to accurately estimate the delivery time from our HQ in Chicago to your doorstep on release day. However, as we indicated in our initial pre-order announcement, once it leaves our hands and falls to the mercy of the post office, any variety of factors can account for a slight delay. We have to take in to consideration that Monday January 19th is a holiday – Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Thus, there will be no mail delivery that day, which may cause some instances of inconsistency. We have taken this into consideration, and hope that the USPS will be timely with their deliveries on the 20th. You will receive an email notification from USPS.com indicating that your order is in transit so you can track the delivery HERE.

- Please note that at this time, it is too late to submit any change of address. We have processed all change of address requests that have come in as of 1/11/09. Change of address notifications that were submitted directly through UMLive.net have also already been processed and their offices are no longer accepting further requests.

- The MP3 version of Mantis will be delivered into the "My Stash" area of your profile at UMLive.net at MIDNIGHT Central Time. It will be made for immediate download at 12 AM CST January 20th, 2009.

- The bonus content will be made available in the "My Stash" area on Friday January 23rd at 1:48 PM CST. We want you to thoroughly ingest the album for a few days before we unleash the tidal wave that is Mantis Bonus.

- If you have written us indicating that you've not received an email confirmation for your order, do not worry. If your credit card has been charged, and you're getting THIS email, your order has gone through!

- Once Mantis is released, please be sure to check [Only registered users can see links.] What used to be the pre-order page will transform in the Mantis PUSH page where we'll be posting more and more bonus content throughout the year. The first item you will find on this page will be a PDF of extended Mantis liner notes. You will find a removable sticker on your CD that says the following: THIS CD UNLOCKS THE MANTIS ONLINE BONUS AREA. PLACE THIS CD IN YOUR COMPUTER AND GO TO [Only registered users can see links.] TO ACCESS BONUS UMPHREY'S MCGEE CONTENT. SIMPLY FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO REGISTER AND GET ACCESS!

Once again, thank you for being a part of the Mantis pre-order. It has been exciting to watch the progress, and with your help, we were able to reach our goal, and unlock all 9 levels of the Mantis bonus content. We hope you enjoy! Don't forget that the band will be celebrating Mantis for the first time at the Vic Theatre in Chicago on Monday January 19th, and hitting the road and coming to a town near you very soon. Be sure to check [Only registered users can see links.] for full tour dates, updates, and more.
