Nice, Crumbo, thanks!

And to those talking about seeing Mayer cheap or free, I think I may have you all beat. I've seen John four times. The first two times were early acoustic shows in Pittsburgh. Free shows. I also bought his EP and Room For Squares for $5 and $7, respectively.

The next time I saw him was at New Orleans Jazz Fest, which my parents bought me tickets for. I didn't know we were going there, and didn't know he'd be there, but he was. He said it was his last tour date before going into the studio to record Heavier Things, and he played some tracks he had written for it for the first time (Come Back To Bed, amongst others).

The last time I saw him was at the Bryce Jordan Center at PSU. I won tickets (10th row) through the local radio station.

This summer, I think I may actually have to pay to see him. But I love that I've spent nothing to see him four times.

Then you would love him live. The Continuum stuff was mind blowing live with his extending them for guitar solos. Just wow. Especially Gravity and I'm Gonna Find Another You.

I went to the Miami show. Fantastic stuff. Energy was great, his work in some of the solos was off the hook.

In the encore, he did Stop This Train, solo. He hit every note, and the pace of the song was perfect. I was mind-blown. Highly recommend, like everyone else in this thread, to check him out live.

I never really got into Gravity off the record ... until I saw it live. Loud, Complex, incredible jamming in the middle have made this song rise to one of my favorites now. Seems to be the trend of people going to the shows - you like the songs more.

I almost made the drive the next night to Orlando for his show. Just didn't work out.

Gravity was siiiiick... I didn't get I'm gonna find another you but I did get I don't trust myself with loving you and he jammed that shit out... I loved good love is on the way but thats also because I love that song... Only letdown of my show was bold as love as the first encore when I knew that he played comfortable 1 show prior...

glad you folks had a good time.

i guess i had an ok time at his show in grand rapids. but his set was very predictable for me cause i have been watching previous setlists on the tour and he needs to make the set a little longer.

I saw him at ACL last fall. He came off as a jerk on stage, but I enjoyed most of his songs. Right now I'm really addicted to Belief.
