I don't know about runs, but 3-2-90 (Nassau Colosseum) is great, too. Branford Marsalis sits in Birdsong to end the first set, then comes out for Estimated>Eyes in the second. Probably the best Eyes of the Dead's last decade.

It's the one they put on Without a Net as a matter of fact, but the whole show is pretty great.

Fuck off. That Fillmore boxset you burned for me has come in handy the past few days.

3/2/69

Dark Star --->
St. Stephen --->
The Elevan --->
Lovelight

Even though this run was played everynight of this release, the 3/2 run was my favorite probably because it opened a show. What a way to open.

Closing of Winterland or the Grateful Dead Movie are tied for my favorite. I've never seen downhill from here though.

I mean its a Dead release, which is something I generally like anyway...that being said its not a top ten show for me or anything.

Don't get me wrong there are some stand out moments though.

I enjoy Help>Slip>Drums (which can sometimes go on for too long IMO but not this one ~3minutes)>Not Fade>Morning Dew and Eyes>Wharf Rat.

Too bad we don't get anyone quite like the Grateful Dead up here in Binghamton anymore. Or anyone good at the very least.

Great show

Love it whenever there's an acoustic set

I dont see this happening.

Update: 1.27.2007

2007 - Will We Get Our Phil?
Sorry, we don't have anything solid to report right now except that we have heard reliable rumors that Phil will do *something* this year and *not* maintain an overextended hiatus after his successful fight against prostate cancer. He'll be at Slims on 2.9 but what else? Rumors are starting to circulate about a possible P&F tour with the Allman Brothers Band. Another rumor has it that Phil is planning a summer tour with Bob Weir and Trey that will cross the country twice consisting of a total of sixty shows (supposedly a third will be on the East coast). Rumors continue to say that John Molo will be on drums and on the keys - Steve Winwood! Allegedly there will be a revolving door of opening bands. If rumors are true, they will be playing primarily stadiums where the parking lots will open very early every day and fans wil be allowed to camp overnight. Hang tight - we'll get our Phil!

It'd be fairly kickass if it did (I missed a few chances for Phil & Trey last year, so I'd like to make that mistake up) but if it doesn't, whatever.
