Just booked Denver -> Beijing and then Shanghai -> Denver for ten days (gonna take the bullet train between the two in the middle of the trip) in late April/early May. I used points but it was basically $560 on Air Canada, which I love, and that includes two checked bags.

Unreal.

Anyone been to either city?

Pretty pumped about it!

Anyone been to Taipei? Is it worth a quick side trip? Thinking of either doing 5 days in Beijing and 4 days in Shanghai or three days each in Beijing, Taipei, and Shanghai.

The Travel Thread

Met up with my buddy at the Prudential Center and toured the U2 arena rig. Really cool setup and lunch in catering with the crew. Got to talk with a bunch of techs about the gear. Totally worth not rolling back into home until 3am

Have you been to Japan? Thatís what I would recommend. Taiwan sounds cool too, though.

Anyone got any spots to hit for Columbus OH? Discovered there are $120 nonstop flights from Austin so I'm going to catch Radiohead there in a couple of weeks. Flying in Sunday 7/22 and out Tuesday 7/24.

Check out the short north neighborhood. Art galleries, boutique shops, good bars and restaurants. You can walk around pretty easily.
