I'll be honest...Live at Murat is better than Vegas '96, in my book.

Haha...obviously not. And Vegas is really good. I just like tighter UM over looser Phish. Though I'll take really tight Phish over really tight UM. Still, Vegas kicks a lot of ass.

Recommendations on where to start for someone trying to get into their music? Looking to ease myself in so what would be the most accesible(musically, not in terms of where to look) for someone just starting out?

I started with A Picture of Nectar. I got hooked on live shows with the White Album Halloween set. I think the original sets of that show are top notch for someone starting.

I would say Hoist, Billy Breathes, and Farmhouse are the most accesible studio albums. Just to start off simple and easy for live stuff you can't go wrong with "A Live One" or "Slip Stitch and Pass".

Although I like the new release, I am preferring 12/29/97 more.

I've been listening to the Great Went this week at work.
First night didn't do much for me, didn't like the Disco set very much. Slowly listening to the 2nd night after I finish the Zeppelin show.

Yah Gin I listened to right before I left. Hearing it go really upbeat about halfway through the jam was a different than usual, I loved it.

Bathtub Gin from the Great Went is the greatest single live performance of any song in the history of the universe....seriously
