Jose Ramirez just barely misses that list with a .989 OPS too. But damn, that's amazing.

He had been pretty good lately before last night.

When Lewis Brinson was at bat, Hunter Strickland brushed him off of home plate. Lewis ended up getting a hit. When Hunter was pulled, instead of just walking to the dugout he started to walk to third base so he could say something to Lewis. Not sure what was said and what Lewis said back but Hunter continued to the dugout. Even Madbum couldn't believe what Hunter did. I'm assuming Madbum was shouting at Hunter "What are you doing?" Add this event to last years beaning of Bryce Harper and it just shows Hunter needs to grow up and realize people will get hits off of you.

Night 2 of the Marlins at Giants. Wow! Wish I could watch Game 3. Details below:

[Only registered users can see links.]

What that link doesn't show is that Dietrich was also hit by a pitch after the warnings were issued but Rodriguez wasn't ejected. It looked like Dietrich leaned into it and the ball hit him in the elbow pad.

First, fuck Hunter Strickland. He’s a meathead.

Second, fuck Rodriguez, I don’t care that his dad brought a trophy to Miami.

Third, Brinson didn’t do a damn thing other than causing a blown save.

Fourth, Dietrich gets HBP more than Strickland throws tantrums. Wouldn’t surprise me that he just throws himself at the ball anymore.

. Right?

But I did remember watching an interview with Ken Burns and he did say that some of the Ty Cobb stuff was pulled from sources that weren’t questioned and that they just played along with the already famed narrative of his life.

So the movie with Tommy Lee Jones playing Cobb should be ignored since it was written by Al Stump.

Mets have lost 14 of their last 15 HOME games. Just wow.

Also, they now have less wins than the Marlins. Yikes.

Prediction: The Phillies get Machado for a pricy package of shortstop J.P. Crawford, right-hander Adonis Medina (MLB.com's No. 76 prospect) and left-hander Kyle Young (Philadelphia's No. 16 prospect).

Nice, if he keeps moving through the Phillies system, I'll be seeing him in Allentown at AAA.

Mets seem to have screwed the pooch on the Familia trade. That's a deal that they just had to jump on 10 days before the deadline?!? Their management is a joke.
