Transformers worked across the board from kids to adults. Alien fight space robots that turn into cars and crime fighting mutant turtles that know martial arts... take your pick, doesn't matter.

Except those movies were garbage, which backs up my original point.

No, it doesn't. Because you said that TMNT wouldn't be marketable to adults.

Neither was Transformers. I didn't mean marketable as in people going to see it, I meant people enjoying it. Those movies sucked, so they didn't "work", plus those at least had incredible special effects to distract dumb people... considerably less potential for that in TMNT

Successful marketing and people liking a film have nothing to do with one another.

You were warned. And still, personal preferences aside, you can't tell me a TMNT movie is going to deliver anything near what Batman did. I fully expect it to be closer to the noisy, thinly-scripted nonsense that Transformers turned out to be.

Then you can shit on me for poor phrasing, but now that we understand each other, my argument is still valid.

Nobody is saying that TMNT will be as good as Nolan's Batman.

there isn't even a script yet, retard. there's no way of knowing.

and for me, i'd watch any of the original 3 TMNT movies over either of Burton's Batman flicks from around the same time.

This all started because you said you were too old for the Ninja Turtles. Look at a toy store. There are more Batman and Marvel toys than there are Ninja Turtles.

you can't really expect a coherent, clear, reasonable argument to sprout from an asinine trolling position as:

Don't care. I was into TMNT from the age of 4 til the age of 6. Then I grew up.

Dickhead comments aside, my argument is perfectly reasonable.

no, it's really not. it's hard to even tell what you're trying to say.

I don't understand the relevance of this. We're talking about movies, not toys. Plus my original comment was just me being an asshole.

That the movie won't be very good. Everything else aside, I thought that was pretty clear.

Then don't respond.

I just don't think the people writing this movie will be able to come up with enough substance to make the TMNT concept compete with the more-successful franchises. You could argue that a big part of that comes from the lack of human characters. Obviously if you're only looking for the movie to be flashy, then I doubt it will disappoint, but I feel like the success of some of these super hero movies outside of their traditional followers is due in large part to the powerful performances of the cast, which will be difficult to pull off without human characters.
