I fell off of Phish hard. I don't even know what it was. I think 3.0 stopped exciting me and I just stopped listening for a long time. I dabble back in occasionally but I'm so out of it, hell, I still haven't even listened to all the Baker's Dozen shows yet. I did listen to the compilation on Spotify when it came out and I enjoyed it, but then I fell right back off again.

I hear ya. I wrote the below almost exactly a year ago, and other than seeing one show last fall, it hasn't changed.

The on/off thing is something I can relate to. When I'm down for some Phish I really dig into their catalog for a while.

Definitely gonna try to hit up charleston and the NYE run (wherever it is, hopefully MSG). If I had a choice of Phish, DMB, and Dead Co, I pick Phish these days, hands down. Setlists are really exciting, and they keep trying to make their shows better and better every time.

12/28-12/31 at MSG is confirmed I have friend that works for live nation. They’ll announce it mid-late September.

Just a few posts back I expressed that I've fallen off of Phish so it's nice to be excited for a release. I haven't listened to this show in years but it used to get a lot of play from me so looking forward to a release that is hopefully well mixed.

Spoiler:
SET 1: Sample in a Jar > The Curtain > Ha Ha Ha > Julius, NICU > Bathtub Gin, Rift > Fast Enough for You > The Lizards, Fire

SET 2: Cars Trucks Buses > Tweezer -> Makisupa Policeman > Run Like an Antelope > Scent of a Mule, Free, Strange Design, Amazing Grace

ENCORE: Harry Hood

Saw Trey last night. Good show, maybe not as good as the show I saw in February 2018, but good.

The sound on this Columbus 1999 archival show they released today might be the best sounding one of these they've ever put out. Fish is mixed so well. Songs like NICU and David Bowie that have his manic single stroke roll patterns sound so crisp and clear.

Highly recommended, only at set break.

I just relistened to 12/30/18 - show really holds up, especially set 1.

So I ended up winning Phish tickets on SiriusXM to the Philly show next week, on the 3rd. I’m not a big fan, but my cousin is. Obviously I will tell him with me. Should be interesting, as this will be my first show.
