That caught me off guard. I thought they did a great job with it.

Even among this tour's highlights, there's so much left and so many rarities on the table for tomorrow:

Seek Up
Lie in Our Graves
Typical Situation
Captain
You Never Know
Say Goodbye
Lover Lay Down
The Stone
Crush
Warehouse
What You Are
Sleep to Dream Her
Rhyme and Reason
Song That Jane Likes
Digging a Ditch
Kill the King
Break Free
When I'm Weary

But you're equally likely to get:

One Sweet World
Jimi Thing
Seven
Do You Remember
Come On Come On
Funny the Way It Is
You Might Die Trying
Here On Out
She
Rapunzel
Where Are You Going

I guess we'll see what happens. The ratio of good to meh stuff on the table now kinda guarantees a great show tomorrow, IMO.
Last Stop would not surprise me though. They did it in 2010. And on a first stop in 2016.

Pick 6 from the first group and 11 from the second, maybe 1 tour debut...and brother, you’ve got yourself a CVille N2 set!

There's only 11 in the second group.

But, fine, I'll take all of them and fill in mostly from the first half, and it's great still:

Kill the King
Crush
Funny the Way It Is
Say Goodbye
Lie In Our Graves
Where Are You Going
Warehouse (w/John D'earth)
Come On Come On
You Might Die Trying
Here On Out
Rhyme and Reason
Jimi Thing (w/Preservation Hall)
She
Rapunzel
____________
Granny
Ants Marching

That Bartender was one of the better versions I’ve ever personally seen. A really nice start that tapered off towards the end of the main set. Encore was great.

I’ll never understand the love affair with the late set You & Me though.

Gotta figure Jimi Thing is a lock tomorrow, but besides that I really don’t know what to expect.

I think we can expect Rhyme & Reason with Joe Lawlor.

YNK if they open with it (which is an awesome new thing they have decided to do), OSW, Jimi Thing, Here on Out.... There are quite a few locks.

But these are going to wind up being some nice shows with the usual turdbuckets tossed in. Lets just see how they handle the flow and what weird debut they do for c'ville.

That Jimi is going to be, loud, long and horny probably finishing it off the main.

I’m thinking that too.

I ditched my uppers and bought a pit ticket at around 5:30 and I’m so glad I did. Had a great time hanging out with Mike and thought it was a really solid show. Loved the BEF>Bartender opener. 41 is always good. Definitely didn’t mind Nancies and Christmas Song repeats from the night before. And that Watchtower was on fire.

Edit: oh yeah, really glad I got Sweet Emotion>Minarets.

Yeah the repeats from last night were great. I feel that way about the x2 Watchtower encores in a row at Albany/Philly.

It's a balanced tour. I like it.

Optimal dmb buzz always helps, kept the show fun. No super long stretches of bad songs. Lot of energy. Glad I grabbed beers at sledge. 3 covers is too much for a hometown hardcore base. The crowd sang along to Xmas song, you don't need covers to appease. Epic fishtender btw, the whole crowd was into it. Take note Dave, your "rare gems" are actually well loved, play them more.

Band staying at same hotel which is weird. Apparently they usually stay at Boyd's. Friend met Carter earlier, another ran into Dave in gym.
