I joined Ants in '04 and hung around there for a year, at which point a rumor was going around Ants that James was at ufck and trying to take Ants back from Jake. I had no idea what any of that meant but everyone seemed angry about it, so I went to ufck to see what the deal was. After a couple of weeks I realized ufck had way better discussion about DMB then Ants did and I never went back

So what was the deal with that anyway? I never got the real story.

Would be nice if DMBLive vinyl releases really start to become a thing...

No. Both of the DMBLive vinyl shows are currently available digitally as well

Benaroya was released in the very first batch (2008) and academy was released a year or two ago. But definitely two of the best releases.

Had to go 8 pages back for this thread. I was hoping with the releases on vinyl this would fire up again but I guess that’s not the case. What a waste DMB.

So now that this series is dead (that's a joke, though maybe an accurate one) what were the best ones? I think my favorite is The Academy acoustic show from '95, but there are so many of these I still haven't listened to even now...

Yeah that Benaroya release is fantastic and anything Fall '98 is going to have worthwhile stuff included, those are probably my top 3 of the dmblives I've listened to as well.

Anybody have any thoughts on whether or not any of the '94 ones are any good? I think I've only listened to Town Point Park...

Also, I know it was a joke, but seems dead to me. Especially if there is some sort of no Boyd shows policy going forward.

It's a real shame. This series was wonderful.

They should have just changed the name of the band.

They are going to have to figure that out eventually... I can't imagine we are never going to get a release with Boyd ever again. They probably just have a lot of legal wrangling to deal with before they can do it...

I feel that this is the case too. I find it very hard to believe that they will never release another pre-2018 DMB show again.

Hopes so because if we miss out on shows like 12.3.98, 6.8.97, etc because Boyd has to beat off to dirty socks...

In some ways though, it would be a fitting metaphor...a jizz crusted sock.

I am guessing they are going to figure something out, Cap$haw probably has the best legal minds working on this...

Though I do wonder if Boyd won't completely self destruct first, doesn't sound like the guy is in the best shape...
