So Right - 5/22/13 video
The curtain falling was pretty lame, I'm glad they gave that up

7/18/14 acoustic set:

So Damn Lucky
Ants Marching
Slip Slidin' Away
Snow Outside
Crash into Me
Sweet
Rhyme & Reason
Stolen Away on 55th & 3rd
What Would You Say

Not bad at all. I never disliked these kind of sets, I just wished they varied things up a bit more. No Jimi Thing? No Crush? No Dreaming Tree?

Yep. They literally rotated the same 25-30 songs in the acoustic set. Even the Dave solo songs rotated between mainly 3-4 different ones. Super stale super quick.

Makes no sense why songs like DT, Pig, Crush, Spoon, Jimi, etc couldn't have played. They get comfy and just go with the songs they feel most comfortably representing. It sucks they're like that, it ruined their potential long ago. That and Dave forgetting how to write interesting songs. I could forgive the songwriter part if the live show was more varied, interesting and surprising.

Drunken Soldier 7/18/14

Oh god, here comes the Ladies.

edit: Jesus. So unnecessary. This isn't Yoko Ono bad, but man it's still obnoxious. You wanna use the Ladies, use them on stuff like Stay, Save Me or Sledgehammer where they actually fit.

Worse still, the crowd eats it up.

Imagine 2005... but with the Lovely Ladies.

Hell, they made up for it in 2014 and 2015.

I agree entirely with those non-SPAC two sets Ladies shows. Man, what a bummer those were.

In 2014/15 I didn't mind the Ladies on:

Long Black Veil
Sledgehammer
Save Me
Stay
Best of What's Around
Burning Down the House
Rooftop
Can't Stop
I Did It
Be Yourself
You & Me
Everyday
Granny

But thought they sucked on:

Idea of You
Write a Song
Drunken Soldier
Lying in the Hands of God

Luther College. I've been listening to the D&T 1996 tour a lot. The show is pure perfection.

Slip Slidin' Away was such a neat cover. Wish it stuck around.

I'm honestly glad it wasn't rammed into the ground.

Citi Field 2010. I don’t think I’ve listened since it came out. I’m surprised how much I’m enjoying it.

Dave Matthews' Eh Hee studio version.

Still weirdly interesting. But hollow sounding compared with the full band iteration.

edit:

Eh Hee June 24, 2008

Ah that's it. Love the Tim lick at 1:37.

If you have it handy, check out Eh Hee from 6/30/12, really enjoyed that version.
