make sure you get the three bonus tracks. This track order is much better than the rip from awhile back.

also, reading that article after listening to the album you can sort of tell which songs he started writing when.

Well, the actual album order. I can't imagine the web rip was still around after last Friday. It should start with 'Am I That Lonely Tonight' and end with 'Moving On.' But, you want to get 'So Different Blues,' 'Darling, Darling, Darling,' and Automobile Blues too.

Well, that is a goddamn shame.

But, I know Phil is a big fan. And hell, between the two of us I can't believe there isn't a thread.

oh, he's well beyond Dave. Dude can give off a vibe. But, he dresses a hell of a lot better:

dude is not afraid of a bow tie.

This comes off as more like his older stuff than HRB. I love it all, but I can pretty much say my favorite song of his is the first song on his very first EP.

My wife is shadowing a Dr. during her current rotation who is one of the few Dr.'s around here who handles Suboxone. I had never heard of it before a few days ago, so when I read that I told her he was on it & her response was, 'yea, of course he is.' She wasn't too impressed when we saw him during the HRB tour. I was trying to tell her he was clean. She wasn't buying it. It is pretty shocking how many people are additcted to opiods. If only they all contributed as much to my life as JTE.

Yup. Yuma is awesome too. That is one of the few songs I liked the first time I heard it that has held up over way, way too many listens.

There is a show from, I think, Germany back in '07 where he opens with it that is amazing. I've never been super wowed with him live, he always seems to add an annoying number of 'Baby' 's to his songs which just becomes distracting. That said, if he is ever remotely close to me I still go out of my way to see him.

i gotta be honest, it's probably a horrible thing to say, but i hope he never gets completely clean. he's clearly been battling this through some of his best work and that's not a coincidence to me.

i mean, look what happened to Doughty when he kicked all his vices. boring as fuck now.
