Hot take, but I actually re-listened to this whole show recently for the first time in years and found it kind of underwhelming. Brady Blade's playing especially felt boring, and the vocals are kind of shitty in some cases. The first three songs are great, and then the show sort of loses me.

Yeah, it was a one-off, wasn't it? They had to be rusty for this one.

That said, D&F video, no matter the show, is absolutely welcome.

Yeah, its not the best, by any measure. But getting the video is still going to be nice.

Yessir.

Weve had the sbd audio for years, and I doubt this will be an upgrade, but having a d&f video will be cool.

Yea I'll definitely check this out for the video but think you're right about the audio. Wish I had an easier time revisiting this one but the sbd is just pretty muddy

Check out 6.18.04. Dmb debut. I like the drum intro from carter. Kind of a neat performance.

This GGT was one of the performances that stuck out to be as being weak. The drums are boring, the riff is simplified, and the solos are nowhere near as good as DMB's.
IMO of course.

This is awesome. Yeah, it's probably the worst D+F show they've played, but having video is great and even a bad D+F show is pretty damn good. This was the first show they played together in like 6+ months, and doubt they practiced much, so it's certainly rusty. Plus Trey was in the midst of Phish tour and the "last" Phish tour, so his mind certainly wasn't there probably.

Fun little tidbit that I've always liked about this show: Just before Waste, you can hear Dave and Trey talking about who's going to sing which verse, and Trey says something like, "I want to sing the one about how I don't know when to stop." I've always thought that was an nice ironic nod to Phish's impending breakup and perhaps an unconscious one to his addiction.

Always thought the same exact thing. Pointed it out to my brother, who is extremely gay for Trey.

He also says something like, “I’m just a man with a big baton.”
