Man Bismarck is a great little tune. Was bummed not to get it any of 3 nights at the Gorge. Surprised not to see it on the bonus

It seems like such a no brainer to have Lillywhite finish those sessions one day. Sure, some additional recording would likely be needed, but I'm sure it wouldn't take that much time or man power.

It would certainly sell well enough to justify.

I think they can even release them without additional recording, maybe throw in some other unheard of takes/mixes/whatever from those sessions.

Some of the songs are obviously raw... but it's sort of the appeal of it too.

I look forward to the day I can spin that BEF. It's about as good as anything they have ever laid down in the studio.

Last thing I'd ever wanna see is new recordings added to LWS. If they use old takes sure, but 2018+ DMB? God no.

I'll play devil's advocate on the lack of new songs on this release - maybe it's because they're confirmed to be on the *possible* studio release coming in 2018? So rather than release live versions of these songs, they're holding out until the studio versions are out there? They could have been tweaked more and finalized after the 2016 tour ended - so they don't want to put the older, original versions out there officially.

Or... it's just the classic incompetence of their management team.

Seriously. The idea of finishing the LWS without Roi makes me sick to my stomach.

Downloaded it but haven't listened. I will at some point, my interest in the band has just severely waned, I still always enjoy the discussion and the TDC community though.

Went way out of their way to not include the new songs, very annoying.

I was at the show and thought it was very solid for 2016 and like others noted the set is great. Only thing lacking is new songs.

I feel like the holiday release is always a show that appeals more to the casual fan than us.

Also, it seems pretty obvious they purposely didn't include any new songs. Maybe there's something to the new album rumors...

Theory: They're going to release C'ville for christmas time and they wanted to save the new songs for that? Maybe couple it with the announcement of tour dates for next summer?

Or, is this the last release for the year?

We definitely don't need two 2016 releases in the closing months of the year, but I can't really think of any other reason why they would purposely omit them from this release.

I genuinely don't understand why they wouldn't release any of the new songs on purpose. I would have been excited to buy this if there was even one of them. This is annoying.
