Holy shit. Butch.
I've always wanted to have him AND Tim together. I hope this is actually happening and hope it's permanent. All those piano-centered songs will be so much better too.

Okay, according to somebody on Ants who was outside for the soundcheck...

Spoiler:

Warehouse
Rapunzel
Too Much
New Song (Do You Remember)
New Song.... sounded completely new. He never heard it before
Busted Stuff

all with Butch

Is this for real? That's too good for a 75 minute charity set. I mean, those first two especially are arguably Butch's best DMB live songs.

Nice development. Would be perfect if coupled with the departure of RR.

Definitely makes tomorrow night more interesting.

Indeed. Never liked the 02 versions when Roi switched saxes.

Well, this is really exciting. Hope that soundcheck is true.

Also, I wonder if Butch might join them in the studio a bit?

The thought of hearing Dave say "Butch Taylor on the keyboards" at a modern 3.0 show brings an instant smile to my face.

I hope this actually happens. To be totally honest, if we're simply going by Jeff's Instagram photo - I've tried to zoom in but I cannot honestly tell who that is on the keyboard. Plus, it's one electric keyboard, whereas Butch used to play with multiple keyboards. So... honestly, feeling like I need more evidence.

Right now Jeff is currently at Miller's. Some guy tagged him with him on Facebook.

Since their last show was on 9/4/16 @ The Gorge, they technically have taken the year off as a band.

I think it means more to come back together because of what happened than simply reuniting next year because they'd had enough time away.

This came from a leaked show schedule. You can see it over on the Ants home page.
I saw it. I think they can fit that set into 75 minutes, and I also think that they'll do an encore despite what that says. They're the headliner, so I bet they'll do the encore anyway, and perhaps go over 10 minutes or so. I think the leaked schedule also mentioned they're insured for overages.

Yeah I assumed they wouldn't. Obviously I was wrong. It's totally acceptable to admit you're wrong sometimes.

Rapunzel, Warehouse and Busted Stuff would be really nice to hear again with Butch. Maybe even try out Sugar Will again, I bet that would be much better with Butch then it was during the 2016 tour.

But on the other hand it's also a festival type show and it's hard for me to see them playing two rarities like Sugar Will and Busted Stuff at this show.
