Honestly drum solos are one of my least favorite things in music. I love good drumming but solos rarely really excite me.

I've never felt that drum soloing was a huge strength of Carter's. He obviously has done some great stuff over the years with Say Goodbye intro's, but overall I think he's more skilled in other areas. Hello Again was always hit or miss for me re: his solo.

I agree with both of you. A nice short and sweet drum "solo" is fine, but I don't need it extended.

I agree. Because 9/10, they lose the momentum of the song and it just becomes meandering and feels like a bunch of musical masturbation.

I agree, make it count.

I never cared for the meandering HA solos. And to think it was a fluke that it even made it into the song.

for me it's specifically the Hello Again solo that I don't like. He nailed the LT8 one, which is my favorite.

Carter was a lot more creative and much better at soloing in the early years. Check out any Halloween, 36 or two step from 92-95.

Yes, this a treat. This GGT is better than Hershey.

Butch nice and loud in the mix. Good.

This is a great download. Makes you miss Butch. Captain and Sugar Will are highlights so far. 2004 was one of my favorite years.

Nothing will ever make me miss Butch. Butch got to the point Rashawn has been at for a while. Some of what he did was good but that was outweighed by the bad stuff.
