I bought the 24/96 download, I think it sounds very good but anyone checking will discover that only Snow Outside and Granny>BEF were from 24/96 sources, the rest were all anything from 16/44.1 ~ 24/48. I believe they moved to 24/96 for archival purposes in late 2010 just before the LT28 show. Still for only $5 extra for me the 24/96 option was a no-brainer.
great post here

I want this, but I bought the box set already, and am not paying more money to get it digitally.

It's not rare to get a download code with a vinyl purchase. They come with all the Phish vinyl.

have to figure most of the 90's stuff was 16/44 but glad to hear there is some 24/48 stuff too.

I still just don't think I can drop another $45 on it. If it were priced like a regular 2 or 3 CD Live Trax at say $25 I would be in, but the price for the 24/96 is just a bit too high after buying the box set.

I never said it was rare. I stated there is no precedent to expect one with Bama Rags releases as none of them have included a download card to date, only the Sony Legacy DMB releases have.

Is there vinyl of LT 3-5? I knew they did 1 and 2 but I must have missed the others.

I need to get all these... though I remember people saying they couldn't find a rip of the LT2 vinyl anywhere

LT3 was released for RSD Black Friday in 2013 along with LT2.

LT4 came out RSD April 2014, then LT5 was RSD Black Friday 2015 I believe.

Both, I didn't remember seeing the announcements OR seeing rips. But I don't pay much attention to the vinyl stuff.

It's too bad about the rips though, I would seek most of those out (probably not 4). Is the LT1 remaster a lot better than the original mix?

Ah okay, well if anyone is looking and finds rips, keep in mind if you see 24/96 and 24/192 vinyl rips that the source material was 16/44.1 so anything above 24/48 would be waste of bandwidth and ratio.

I would say it's noticeably better on a good system, if someone's just listening to the LT1 digital version compared to an LT1 rip on an iPhone or something like that then difference would be very minimal and possibly the digital would sound better.

3, 4 and 5 are all available. The only one not sourced from the RSD colored vinyl is LT3.

They're 24/96 but other options can easily be derived.

Nice. I need to track down Lt3 as I was there.

Also, if all things were equal, would it not be best if they were sourced from the black vinyl as oppossed to the rsd colored?

I still need to track down LT 4 on vinyl. It's the only DMB vinyl that I am missing from my collection.

The record store day version is blue vinyl, if I'm not mistaken.
