I got a FB notification yesterday about this and got to watch it live, let me tell you, it was amazing. I got goosebumps and slightly teared up.

The Trump admin sent coal and nuclear representatives to the COP 23 climate summit in Germany. (side note - how fucking stupid does it make us look by sending these type of organizations.....sigh....)

After being seated, the crowd stood up and started singing this over and over until they left.

Exxon (oil market), Climate Change, Tesla

I’m embarrassed as hell to be an American right now. I can’t believe we have to gripe about how we sent COAL PEOPLE to that summit. That should never ever ever have even crossed anyone’s mind to do that (or any of a variety of horrible, greedy, piece-of-shit ideas this admin has). I feel like I’m in a very strange nightmare.

I don't have a ton of time right now to link a whole bunch of articles and such, but there is a ton of info out there.

Here is the page to the Semi: [Only registered users can see links.]

Specs:

Acceleration 0-60 mph with 80k lbs - 20 sec
Speed up a 5% Grade 65 mph
Mile Range 300 or 500 miles
Powertrain4 Independent Motors on Rear Axles
Energy Consumption Less than 2 kWh / mile
Fuel Savings $200,000+

The reveal last night was fucking awesome.

So, has everyone here had time to digest what the Semi means for the oil market?

Basically it's going to reek havoc on the diesel demand and it's about the same as 34 Model 3s when talking about consumption.

There are many factors playing out on the oil industry right now, electric cars and renewables, but it's also commercial fleets....the cargo trucks, the semis...

So the industry has about 2 years before Tesla starts producing and they feel the sting.

Look what happened to Cummings' stock price from Thursday (reveal date) to Friday:

[Only registered users can see links.]

Most analysts don't factor in commercial EVs when talking about demand....this is just the beginning.
