can someone please tell me what it is like to have friends and family that are close. Because honestly none of my friends and family are close to me.

I regularly call and talk with my Dad a couple times a week. I occasionally keep in touch with my Grandmother. That's about it with most of my family, both main and extended. Not to say we'd argue if we were in the same room, just that we're not 'need to talk every week or three' close. I've learned to accept it. People have lives...

I always call my siblings on their birthday. I may be the only one who does this for all of us.

I have a few friends I both work with and/or have fun throughout the week with. I see many of them often. Though one in particular I don't see much anymore, but I will call once in a while to see how she's doing.

Most of the time when I'm home, I'm by myself. I prefer this. I want to be disturbed/bothered by as few people as possible, regardless of relation, when I'm at home. I don't even know my neighbours, really.

It's all a delicate balance between family, friends and acquaintances.

Of course, I also use different means to connect with different people. That's the 21st century modus operandi.

So, 8 women have accused Charlie Rose of various forms of sexual harassment and assault.

So I just watched the Oliver Stone film JFK for the first time this weekend in conjunction with the upcoming anniversary of the assassination, and it's got me thinking.

I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist, and I realize the film was not exactly truthful, but I've always had my doubts about Oswald being the lone shooter.

Where do others stand on the JFK assassination?

I don’t understand why men act that way. I’m guessing the goal for most is to get laid but acting creepy has 0% success rate

I mean, it seems to be short / fat / geeky / odd guys who had no chance with the ‘hot girls’ in high school. They then get immense power / fame and tons of money. Sprinkly in some mommy issues and they act 100x worse than the jocks they hated growing up. It is disgusting, but you can’t say it had a 0% success rate. Scum like Weinstein and Ratnor did it to thousands of woman. They all think just like The President: “when you’re a star, they let you do it.”

The Spacey shit may be the craziest of it all. His childhood was beyond insanity.

I’m up at 6am... thinking about how faithful, respectful, and gentle I will be to every female I encounter today.

I don't really even have to think about it. I'm programmed to treat them with respect and be a protector. (although apparently wanting to protect women nowadays is an example of 'toxic masculinity' or whatever made up meaningless buzzword they're throwing around these days.)

I find all of these sex scandals 0% surprising. So many beautiful women in Hollywood/Media and crazy dudes with zero values and power will never be able to keep their needle dicks in their pants. Also the people who had knowledge of these guys are total losers. 10 times out of 10 at places I've worked the guys would punch the lights out of anyone who was sexually assaulting girls.

I was kind of being sarcastic with that post but yeah, not surprising about most of these guys. That being said, I don’t really believe in white knighting. There were probably a lot of women who were willing participants.
