That's cool - but a full release would be better. Didn't they do that for Red Rocks? It was a RSD release then a full release?

I assume it would be later? The RSD will be the yellow/blue splatter and the regular release would be black.

Yeah, they've done colored for RSD and black for regular release for all of the live vinyl releases.

That's cool. I still haven't grabbed Red Rocks yet, but I will soon.

I'm a pretty big vinyl collector - but it's purely to listen. I don't care much for limited editions or RSD. I'd rather just be able to buy it (reasonably priced) and listen to it. Versus never opening it. I understand people who like that, but I just want to listen to Luther, Red Rocks, Crash, UTTAD, BTCS and a handful of other shows on Vinyl.

My only DMB vinyl right now is UTTAD. But the rest of that list is coming. And maybe someday we'll get the LWS pressed.

Oh I'll be listening. But I do appreciate the cool factor of the splatter look.

it'd be cool if one was blue and one yellow like the CD. I wore out so many of those yellow discs over the years

Hopefully an audiophile will come to correct me, but i've heard that typically the colored vinyls are of lower sound quality. Anyone ever read that? I'm sure it's not universal, but interesting none the less

If true, this is amazing news!

I could be mistaken, but I believe that black vinyl does have slightly better sound quality. Like I said though, I could be wrong on this one.

There's a lot of misunderstanding out there with color vs black.

Black IS colored. It's dyed black.
The difference is pressing plants deal in black vinyl much more often than colored, so the quality control on their black formula is more refined.

Colored vinyl often has more defects than black only because it's a new formula for the plants to deal with and keep an eye on.

If there's a colored option vs a black option I go black every single time.

Thank you for explaining this. This makes a lot more sense now
