She and Come On Come On are both bad songs. The other songs compensate though.

I feel like VITR / BNBB haven't gotten enough play time this year to really know how they are going to shake out.

Funny, didn’t even see NiCK’s post before my last post but pretty much have agreed with him on all things CT

Odd because I am pretty sure I couldn’t have disagreed with him more circa 2004

More than anything, the lack of content in these songs becomes brutally apparent live. I can see why people enjoy the album - mellow, subtle, inoffensive. Live, along with the clear vocal strain, theres just not much meat on the bones. Come on come on is the prime offender. It wants to be epic and soaring, and its just... not.

I still wish this album had simply been an archival double release to catch them up on unreleased material since 2000 -with all the good bad and ugly, so that now this could feel like a fresh start, rather than pushing an album that just doesnt move the needle (even though, relatively, they are only playing 4-6 per show).

I have a gut feeling that it was going to have a pretty big “bonus” disc that would have been a lot of the songs we are clamoring for, but they may have been either Boyd heavy or featured him more than they could edit out of the tracks without completely reconfiguring the songs.

Do we know if Boyd was in the studio with them at all for this album at any point? Or during the prior sessions the last few years?
