I actually love love love this BBB. Didn’t really care for it before the studio cut.

Yeah, studio Black and Blue Bird is good. But it could've been great with a little more room to breathe. And don't forget those shitty sirens. What an awful addition. At least when Lillywhite added bells and whistles, they were usually studio-related.

Do You Remember is a good example of adding some studio touches. There is a lot going on in that track.

Don't much care for the yips. But if Dave doesn't give a fuck...

I don't like the way Carter's drums come in and that awesome bridge with that slide Dave plays feels cut way too short to make an impact. I enjoy the cut but it feels too neutered, rushed, and strangely folksy to me.

I loved the airy 2015 live versions. The way the drums and horns sound are much more natural and up front. I've listened to the live debut, CO version with Bela, and Alpine Live Trax version dozens of times each.
I agree that I wish the studio version was jammed out like another :40 sec to 1:00 minute longer, but other than that I think it's about the best that song could have been captured..it's a song I really do not like live at all but enjoy the studio version. I think it's one of the few DMB songs that I actually prefer the studio over live.
