Yeah, but even if someone names it first, you should definitely still list it. Consensus is a cool thing to glean from this.

Speaking of Tom Petty's Wildflowers, which is amazing. I think my favourite song has become Crawling Back to You.

On topic, I'll add:

Tom Petty - Full Moon Fever
Tom Petty - Wildflowers
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Hypnotic Eye

I might be raked over the coals for these two, but I can't help myself, I love them.

Pink Floyd - The Final Cut
R.E.M. - Around the Sun

They both don't represent what we think of when we think about them. But for they were trying to do I feel they succeeded.

A couple more:

U2 - Pop
Nirvana - MTV Unplugged in New York
The Doors - Morrison Hotel
Tom Waits - The Heart of Saturday Night

Gweeps, my man. That’s my absolute favorite Petty song.

You know what?

One of my all time favorite guilty pleasures that was an easy “10” to 15-year-old Josh.0 was Blink 182’s Dude Ranch.

Live albums should only count if it's a full concert (like Luther college or red rocks) not when it's a compilation of live performances from different shows.

I'm only listing stuff unmentioned

That's not a rule. We're not judging concerts, we're talking albums. If a compilation of live performances was released as an album, it's an album.

And that Jimmy Cliff album cover is bad-ass

Where's my Mitch at? You're the only one alive when this came out. One of the most pivotal (literally) albums of all time and hardly anyone knows it. But even if it was released today it would slay.

It's just kind of cheating to make a compilation live album, because it creates a live show that can never be duplicated. You take the best performance ever of fifteen songs, it's like counting a Greatest Hits record.

But, if, I can cheat in a different direction, to a live show that was broadcast internationally and released but never on its own, perhaps no greater single live set, given the performance and the circumstances and everything involved...
