Seems for every one thing I get done nearer the move, three or four others are either waiting completion or get screwed in the process of accomplishment. Today I waited for several hours for a junk removal company to come and get rid of some stuff. Not cheap either, close to $100. Nobody showed or called. Great. Even though they're tearing this place down I cn't leave anything in it.

Maybe the company was just too busy today? Perhaps I'll hear from them tomorrow or Monday? I still have a week before the move. I get the keys on Monday and have a few day to move what I can there before I get help with the bigger things.

Well, I found a guy who can come this morning to take away a bunch of stuff for $60.00. Hope it works out. I'll have to help him with the metal desk, but that's fine.

I get the keys to the new place tomorrow. Have to buy a new bed and do some other things, as well as move smaller things over there until Saturday when family will help me move the bigger stuff. Then this ordeal is over, hopefully.

I'll feel like a rich guy having keys to two places for a few days.

Glad this is almost over gweeps. Hopefully the giy shows up today and at the end of it you’ll have $40 in your pocket. Moving is such a pain, made worse when you are being forced to do it.

Thanks Jack. It does suck. But in some ways its a relief to be finally moving on a bit. No pun intended.

Not only did the guy show up, but yeah, he only charged me $60.

That metal desk was at least 70 pounds. Holy hell. I got it out of my apartment myself and another guy helped me push it through the windy hallway. Then the junk guy got in front of it and we tripped it on its side and slowly inched it down the 16 cement stairs to the outside. Then three of us hefted it into the guy's 2-tonne truck.

I will never have anything that cumbersome again. I hope.

He'll be back tomorrow to help a neighbour move his crap out.

And he's going to bring us both a hot drink. Hot chocolate for me, coffee for the other guy.

Thanks.

It's strange having my stuff in two places though.

Oh yeah, and the junk hauler did bring me a hot chocolate. He's a Trump fan, but okay in my books.

So I've moved. Now it's all putting away everything... somewhere. I'm going to miss the bedroom.

I wish this place was a non-smoking building. Never been a fan of smelling other people's cigarette smoke. It makes me feel filthy. Any suggestions to at least diminish the smell? The last place had this happen occasionally. The whole floor ends up stinking. God.

Glad that ordeal is over for you. As for the smoke, try to seal up your door as much as possible and we love our scented oil burner.
