Knowing the pull that DeVito has, it'd be fucking awesome if he could ever get Jack Nicholson to guest spot on the show or something.

Yeah, that was kind of lousy. If this season is any indication, then this show's best days are definitely behind it. It's been pretty inconsistent since season 3 actually.

I thought last season was pretty solid, with episodes like Kitten Mittons, A Very Sunny Christmas, and The Road Trip episode. I saw the first five minutes of this. It looked like it had some promise.

I still love it, but it definitely hasn't been the same since season 3, in terms of constant hilarity. There have been some absoulutely amazing episodes the last few seasons, but a bunch of meh ones as well.

Honestly though, before this one there had been a nice run of about 4 really funny ones in a row, so it doesn't bug me too much

Yeah, the show still has the occasional funny episode, but overall, I feel like it's moved too far away from what it was in the first couple of seasons. They made all the characters too over the top. It's five Charlies now. I also think they really overused Devito. He was much better as an outside character that was worked into the plot only occasionally. One of the great things about the show initially was that each character brought something that was uniquely funny to the table. Now they're just all nuts.

eh, this and last season are pretty damn good. season 4 sucked, but it bounced back from that nicely.

It's like they're all just masturbating on screen now. Way too self-indulgent.

It's actually not that hard to spot. Somebody hit the nail on the head before. Every character is now Charlie.

I think, they've all been pretty crazy since the pilot episode. I think Charlie still takes the cake.

yeah they still stay true to their individual quirks and tendencies. the show and tone in general is more broad and louder now, but that happens with a lot of comedies. the show is inconsistent still for sure, but they hit more than miss imo.

my favorite from last season was the kitten mitton episode. "it's okay because one SIZE FITS ALL!" and the dick towel thing was ridiculous.

the characters are a bit too much like caricatures of themselves at this point, but that happens on most comedies it seems.

it's basically unavoidable. either the characters change and people bitch or they stay the same for 6 years and start to seem like caricatures.
