I believe you need an account, it is free for 30 day trial if you want to mess with it but truth be told I left Sirius, came back and left again due to them and billing issues.

Spotify is much cheaper than Sirius and you can choose anything you want to listen to at any point. Almost everything they’ll play on XM you can get on Spotify (except the talk radio shows and live streaming events like tonight). If you don’t listen to Stern religiously not sure what the sell is on Sirius
