TGIY, She, CoCo, and CT were the only actual new songs to our ears on this album. Pretty much killed the album’s longevity for me since I had already listened to the other songs to death over the years.
Didn’t help that TGIY is a throwaway and CT isn’t that great.

I think I gave it a 7 when it first came out but I like the Batson Sessions versions of the garbage tracks like CoCo (I'll never get the love for that song) and wish they had swapped some of those songs into the album.

The album itself for me has sort of settled into an Everyday slot where I like the majority of the songs in a live setting but rarely throw the album itself on. That being said Again & Again / VITR are two of the best tracks the band has ever put out in the studio to me as far as being "studio" songs.

Some of the editing choices still bother me, especially since the BS leak. Come On Come On could have been much better in the studio, unless this was the finalized version they had from that era. IOY's botching still pisses me off. Why? Black and Blue Bird's streamlining bugs me. Song had some space to groove.

Again and Again and Virginia in the Rain are two the best sounding DMB studio cuts ever.

Can't Stop should be nominated for Most Improved Song in the studio setting.

Can't remember what I gave it before, but I'll stay there. A 6? Whatever. It's not higher because I miss Boyd and there's no Bismarck, Shotgun, Sugar Will... We know now that Batson is capable of producing music that isn't complete dreck.

TGIY and CT are two songs that I've decided are only good in the slowing-down-to-see-an-accident way.

I love the chorus of She. It's better than the entirety of Seven and I don't care if it's overplayed.

When I'm Weary and Here On Out are underrated. Maybe they don't need to be on this album though. Take them off and add Bismarck.

The studio cut of Samurai Cop is the best, next to that Dave and Tim performance on Colbert.

Do You remember is how I like my modern DMB songs. Dave has created a song where the lyrics are serious-ish despite the bouncy nature of the music. Should have been a single.

Fucking this x100

if you would have told me in 2005 when Stand Up came out that Batson would have done some songs in a goddamn scrapped demo that I adore I would have probably been extremely dramatic and ranted a lot about how much he's the worst and the band is going to hell and you're an idiot for saying anything else.

I was also 20 in 2005 when that album dropped and slightly more of a shithead. Good god few things make me feel as old as this band and y'all do.

I think I have it a 6 last time. But none of the lowlights (TGIY, CoCo, CT, can’t stop) grew on me at all. That said, I really like again and again, do you remember and Virginia in the rain a lot and she and black and bluebird are solid. So down a notch to 5.

I’ll go 7. Still enjoy the album. Not so much the live versions yet.

exactly. These are masterpieces of mixing and mastering. Listen to them back to back with something off any of the other albums.

I have the Vinyl of that album (cause I gave away all seemingly 2,000 copies of that CD i got) and those two through my old reference Yamaha speakers are incredible, just masterful mixing. Every single time I listen to them Iím blown away by not only how amazing it sounds but also the subtle use of stuff like the ladies that actually just add to the dynamic.

God damn those tracks are so beautiful.

Few decent tracks but no superstar tracks. SC prob would rate superstar if it wasn't beat to hell and tired.
IOY which I was super excited for is meh
DYR is nice live but the cd doesn't do much for me
She is my fav both on the cd and live

4. Still sounds feels and comes off as a hatchet job of an album. Some beautiful recordings (VITR, AAA) and some solid songs (BABB, DYR) but so much absolute filler (both benign filler and garbage filler).

Yawn.
