had a lot of fun tonight. set was weird and fun. not the best run to end it, but whatever. some good stuff in there early on and in the middle, for sure.

crowd was super chatty all night, it was weird. when the songs were loud enough where that was all you could hear, it was great. but when things were quieter, it was like a loud white noise din of people chatting everywhere. is that the nyc crowd now? or is that just what dmb crowds are now? i dunno. it was weird and kind of annoying.

After almost 20 years and 40 shows, I’m just looking to be surprised with the opening notes of the next song. And, for the most part, I was tonight. The LLD through Typical run was great, and I’d argue that BOWA and Seek Up are the band’s top two openers (although the Seek Up outro loses something sans violin — not necessary sans Boyd, but sans violin). I spent $50 for a floor seat that I got at 5:30 — was well worth it. The band I fell in love with in the ‘90’s is dead — and that’s okay, artists evolve — but tonight was a nice reminder that DMB, in its current incarnation, can still bring both the old and new, at least to an extent.

There were people around me who have been to 200 shows and were the chattier of them all. Makes me think they should fucking hang it up. Clearly they’re going either for ritual or for chasing one or two songs only.

Actually missed this song and was hoping for it over the summer. I feel this could be a song Buddy fits well on too

LLD was superb tonight.

WYA and STDH were crazy gets tonight considering they’re both songs I haven’t seen live since 2006/2007. Enjoyed em both.

Rashawn is teasing a “bachbrass” takeover tomorrow. Guess that means a bunch of horns on Jimi.

Tonight was a fantastic show. Exceeded expectations. Recorded all but about 4/5 songs (STDH my battery knocked out in the middle but I swapped it in time for typical) also have a mv88 aud pull I’ll throw up till we get a “real” tape.

Any songs people want in specific?

Gimmie like 10-15 mins to see if the mv88 audio is better than the RX100 and ill throw it up. Copying everything over to an SSD right now on my rig.

I have really nice footage so if a taper would be cool with me syncing I'd love to do that before I post the bulk of the stuff.

I really liked this show. STDH > Typical is such a great example of good flow. Krasno smoked graves, maybe blew his load too early but I didn’t mind it. Typical was the highlight for me.

Audio Sync'd and KTK is getting uploaded once the compression is done. Sounds decent enough. Any other requests?

Complete Songs Recorded:

Seek Up, TGIY, WIA, A&A, KTK, Sweet Emotion > Minarets, LLD, LIOG, STDH (Most of it, battery died and had to swap), Typical, Funny, What You Are

I have clips of others but not full songs cause that shit gets tiring. Ill throw the un-edited full Audio Pull of the show up on my google drive and link it as well before I pass out.

Tonight was a great show. Shattered my expectations. Can now cross KTK and STDH off my list. Graves with Krasno was awesome, sweet Emotion > minarets was great. Typical? awesome. The shit songs were well spaced out and the flow was a lot better than it may look on paper. I didn’t mind the end of the show at all. If I had to complain I’d say the middle of the show was missing some heavy hitters that would have kept the crowd more into it (like Crush, Billies, Warehouse, etc) would’ve helped. But as a hardcore I was cool with it. Can’t stop was a perfect piss break.

Buddy sounds so much better. The band played a lot jazzier tonight than they have in YEaRS. A lot of people were chatty and overall felt like a very mellow show, but it reminded me of old school DMb that jammed, was jazzy, faded out and didn’t give a fuck whether people liked it. You could tell they were loving it. Tomorrow night should be one for the books wish I could be there
