OSW in a landslide. So sad, I used to look forward to the instrumental intro opening shows.

Was thinking Ants immediately, went with Grey Street. Can’t argue OSW.

Like Tomacco said, I don’t really get the options though.

The idea is that the first couple rounds will be Easy, but then itíll get a lot harder. Right now Grey St and OSW are going to be elimatined. Round 2 will be more interesting.

I feel like at a certain point this is going to come down to splitting hairs or not really being able to vote on them. Typical, Warehouse, Stone, Minarets, BOWA and some others are either better with 3.0+ or kinda the same. Then there are some that have turned into miserable disasters like Ants & the 20 minute long Jimi Thing we’ve been getting beer during for the past decade... idk I wish it was more of the awful that could be debated than a mixed bag.

Why not push the shit voted ones ahead into a new batch and replace the 0’s at least initially.

I think some people are just confused on the point. The song thatís left standing will be whatís considered 3.0s BEST performed song, by selecting the worst ones from the bunch eventually youíll be left with the best one at the end. I guess itís a little confusing.

It's confusing because you chose to include some of 3.0's absolute worst songs, while also omitting some of their most notable songs. If the goal was to determine the best song, you should've included ONLY the good ones to begin with.

Get rid of worse or same songs:

Grey Street
One Sweet World
Rapunzel
Tripping Billies

Add great or much-improved songs:

You Might Die Trying
Cornbread
So Damn Lucky
Dreaming Tree
Last Stop
So Right

You could also include Big Whiskey / AFTW / CT songs. I would say 3.0's best songs don't have to be ones played before 3.0.

Ok I see your point, I should have clarified that I meant only “classic” DMb songs so anything post-BS I’m not including, also everything from the last 3 albums were written with the 3.0 lineup in mind. The idea is songs that were played originally and how they sound now. YMDT, Cornbread and SDL are the exception, but I didn’t include then because They were never played with the just he core 5 lineup and aren’t “classic”

Not sure everyone agrees, but I would argue we're now in 4.0 (minus Boyd, add Buddy).

I view it this way:

1.0 - 91-98
2.0 - 99-07
3.0 - 08-17
4.0- Present.

When Tim joined, the band totally changed and now with Boyd gone itís changed again. Those are super dramatic to the sound and usher in a new era. Same when Butch joined and the band started playing stadiums in 99, it became a new era.

Didn't get a chance to vote, but if I was able to, I'd probably have created a bunch of alters to vote for OSW. I completely despise what the song has become.
