Made my own sequencing for the album. Ditched the unnecessary/unwanted tracks entirely.

Kill the King
Can’t Stop (#2)
Bullets and Rum
Ask
Idea of You (#2)
Early Home
There Are Ghosts
Situation
Recovered
Break Free
ABC
Red Glare
Drive Me Away
Come On (#2)
Celebrate
Blackjack (#2)
Scream Into the Grave (outro)
Break For It (#2)
Sister (#2)
Shotgun
Robert Randolph

This flows well.

Someone on Ants claimed to have a track list a couple months before the actual list was leaked, and Red Glare was on it. It was also before these session tracks were leaked. So either he had some insight into the sessions and was guessing, or he had some knowledge before Dave finalized the track list.

Downloaded and listened. Wow, are these awful. If someone had told me in '98 that this would be the state of the band 8 years later, I would have questioned everything I knew. Celebrate? Might the worst thing I've heard from them.

Interesting, but not shocking that IOY is a complete copy/paste from this session minus the Live Intro they lopped onto it and the abrupt stop they added (1:13)...I wonder if it was done to further scrub Boyd from the track as he is playing predominantly during that section on this studio cut.

There Are Ghosts sounds like music from CBS coverage of The Masters. I half expect Jim Nantz to whisper some sweet nothings into my ear after listening to that.

Gotcha. So thatís probably the main missing song that we know has been recorded but not included in these sessions.

I like She a lot. Maybe the most on the album. Celebrity is nothing like it.

This is really awesome to hear. There's some good stuff and some bad stuff on here. I can totally understand why they ditched these sessions and almost nearly broke up a year later. They sound lifeless sometimes. These songs are all rough sketches of ideas. Interesting hardly any boyd, even 12 years ago.

You can definitely tell this would have been a terrible album had they finished it. Ya got the classic Batson elements. Gruff, very weak Dave voice. Drum loops. Heavy bass. Awful production. Unfinished.

Why the hell did they slow down Can't Stop all those years?

For the most part, they've made good choices with what songs of this they've released and what they haven't. Cool hearing an early #27 and Corn Bread, though the BWGK versions of both are better (especially #27). Most interesting to hear for me is that they actually did scrub Boyd off what they did release on Come Tomorrow. Glad we at least got to hear a studio Shotgun. Hopefully this isn't the only one we do.

I was more in this camp when I finished listening to the full thing.
Then I ditched all the crap and re-sequenced the leftovers properly and I am actually very much digging this collection.

Kill the King
Can’t Stop (#2)
Bullets and Rum
Ask
Idea of You (#2)
Early Home
There Are Ghosts
Situation
Recovered
Break Free
ABC
Red Glare
Drive Me Away
Come On (#2)
Celebrate
Blackjack (#2)
Scream Into the Grave (outro)
Break For It (#2)
Sister (#2)
Shotgun
Robert Randolph

It's important to remember these are demos too. They never intended us to hear this stuff. And not all demos are as great as the LWS. Even the friggin Beatles Anthology releases have so much garbage on them. In fact, most demo collections do, even from the best bands.

Stand Up makes so much more sense now. They had so little good to release that the album itself was the best they had. These songs are so bad! Where's Roi, don't think I head him once. And Boyd? What a joke, the guy was officially MIA 12 years ago.

Iím with you I guess. Just really glad they didnít just release some of these with Batson back then. Iím actually impressed they recovered so well with Big Whiskey.

They could have been earlier sessions when they weren't around.

I'm pretty much just taking these as the unfinished tracks they are.
