The disc 2 version of Come On is pretty cool. Boyd is playing the string section stuff, and the song is a little different.

5 songs into disc 1... terrible so far. Drum machine on IOY makes it sound like Dave is singing over a 8-bit nintendo track...

Disc 1 is a lot rougher than disc 2, just so you know. You can honestly just start listening at "Ask" and you'll miss nothing beforehand since every track other than KTK repeats on disc 2 in a fuller form.

"Drive Me Away" is very Radioheady. Shades of Identikit and You and Whose Army.
This is easily the new song highlight of this whole thing. If anyone wants to hear a new song out of these sessions, this is the one.

Scream into the Grave outro sounds promising. Wish they included the whole song.

I don’t like all the doubling of Dave’s voice and effects Batson seems to do in a lot of the chorus’s ...just seems chaotic and out of place in a lot of spots. One trick pony.
Early home is really pretty.....I feel it
Too bad there’s no words to recovered, very solid music there

Agreed.
Goes without saying, but I'd much rather hear whatever songs/sessions Cavallo is sitting on vs. all this.
Many of these sessions are what they should be - rough demos of songs that got better later.

These are the tracks I'm marking as worth keeping out of the 33:

Drive Me Away
Early Home #2
Bullets and Rum
Idea of You #2
Blackjack #2
Come On #2
Can't Stop #2
Break For It #2
Kill the King
Celebrate
Ask
Red Glare
Situation
Recovered
ABC
Robert Randolph

You could argue that IOY, Can't Stop, and Come On are better here than on CT (not sure I'd entirely agree but it's a valid opinion for sure). Blackjack here is better than it is live.

ABC is the highlight of disc 1, mostly because Dave isn’t singing

The entire band doesn't get together for every session and there doesn't have to be a refusal.

Wow, Can't Stop is pretty awesome actually on disc 2. It's like the CT one, but with a darker, longer bridge, more Roi and Boyd.

It’s great...roi sounds awesome on it. I like it better than the CT version. It has a different vibe imo

Wonder if sugar will is on the third disc? Too bad if it now won’t be released.

Interesting that some of these were supposed to be on Come Tomorrow. Particularly Red Glare.

The third disc listing was somewhere on Ants 3 months ago along with the other 2. I think the only song not heard in any form on these 2 discs is called "Glory." Also, Break Free is called "To Break Free" on that one, and #27 and Cornbread aren't on it, which leads me to believe that disc might be the earliest of the three.

Where’d we hear that? I just went through and quickly previewed the tracks but I like the sound of that one.

How does the leak ruin the future possibilities of releasing some of these songs? I'm not sure if some posts in this thread are insinuating this. It's just so interesting. I can't bring myself to listen at the moment because I feel it's a bunch of "what could have been and now will never be".

Also who released them and why? Sorry I'm never ever going to log back into Ants to find this out and I understand if no one wants to get into it here. TIA!
