1970 is a really awesome year thatís often overlooked. Some really great stuff there. And itís nice to hear how some of the songs were evolving. One of my favorites shows is Dicks Picks 8 from 5/2/70. And though the first set was acoustic, that second electric set cooks. Iím looking forward to it.

Today we begin our observance of the holy trinity of 5/7 5/8 and 5/9 '77.

Fun read with Bob. It’s kind of genius to have someone else write setlists.

What I should say is that you don't hear a lot of people mentioning it when talking about go-to shows. Most people talk about '72, '77 etc. I don't hear as much about '70 but I love that year a lot...It's kind of a perfect mixture of the loose-psychadelic blues jamming from the late 60s stuff, as well as the beginning of the great songwriting that became tighter and more commonplace in '72 and beyond.

Hopping on the bus for the next two shows in Mass and NYC. Anyone else hitting up Gillette and/or Citi Field? The school year just ended yesterday, and I am so ready for these shows.

Wow just took a listen to Citi Field, Mayer sounds even more incredible on the Wolf Guitar. Nothing against his PRS guitars or the Silver Sky, but man that Wolf Guitar IS the jerry sound. Unreal.

Nice. We're doing N1 only, and then back to Red Rocks for Avett Brothers on 7/6.
