Really wasn't planning any DMB shows this year but MSG on my Birthday...just when I thought I was out

Landed two decent lowers in the Farm Aid presale today. Expensive AF but it’s too good to pass up.

They've played YNK. How bad can this tour be?

They’ve played SUAD, Hello Again, Raven, YNK, Minarets, SDL, LLD, and Seek Up before Jimi Thing. Let’s just absorb that for a second.

The ended last night on a weak af note. They could do a Fall 2018 on us. Tease us for a couple nights then business as usual. At least Grey Street is kinda enjoyable again.

i'm curious if Tim has changed up his rig a bit. Beyond bringing out the Gibson SG, several of the videos i've watched/listened to have actually brought me back in time to how he sounded on that first full tour in '98 ... A bit more dirt/crunch and less smooth/modern/arena/generic (a bit hard to describe, but if i could pinpoint one thing on Tim's playing over the last 13 years is it's become less...Tim Reynolds...and more generic arena rock lead-ish). The 41 video kind of illustrated this potential adjustment a bit. But haven't listened to enough of the first 2 shows to know for sure. just sounded grittier, which i prefer.

if there's one thing i really hope for, it's that they can return Two Step to a happy medium between the 20 minute marathon noise-fests and the truncated 2019 versions. If they could get it back to 98/2008 lengths where it's got the tim solo, or a Tim/Buddy tradeoff ala Tim/Bela, but ended it around 12-13 minutes (Warehouse 5 v1) that would be ideal. Always loved Two Step as an opener, but probably better as a 12 minute opener than a 20 minuter.

We'll see. mildly interested in catching a show this fall.

EDIT: just watched Nancies, as well. yep. grittier, for sure.

This doesn't happen much in my old age but I got goosebumps watching the Grey Street vid. Been waiting for that 3rd verse to come back for almost 19 years!!

Nope. Neither did they play Jimi. Or Crash. Or Crush.

The highlight of the weekend was the lower pavilion realizing he was doing the third verse. Just that extra bit of intentional effort.
