Haven't even heard Moon yet and I can't get that Police song out of my head.

Walk Around the Moon is easily better than most of what they've done recently

Re listening to WATM. Groovy little song. I like it. Could be really good in studio and come together nicely by end of tour. I hope Jeff’s solo is in studio version.

Caught the end of the set and encore in the car on the way home from Umphrey’s tn. Definitely sounded a bit rough but great to hear them back on stage again. Really strong setlist after such a long break, I’d take that at any show these days. Glad I wasn’t losing my mind with SFTW, I was so confused at what happened there. Anywhere to listen to the new songs yet?

Overall it was a really great, strong first comeback show. My issue is just the new stuff. Otherwise I'm happy. About as good as you can expect DMB 4.0 to be, some flubs here and there, but a great selection of songs and for the most part everything was played pretty well.

If I had to cherry pick songs that are must hears from this show it'd be:

Grey Street, Nancies, Hello Again, Sweet, LLD and the new songs just because they're new. Everything else was pretty standard and nothing special, but it was good. Not a show I'd re-listen to the entire thing again, but some nice songs here and there.

Ocean and Butterfly sounds completely arranged by Jeff. Sounds flecktones and it’s great. We need much more of this. Even if the song is a snoozer

Walk Around the Moon

I had followed a stranger walking in the woods
She was not quite like anyone I knew
Red dress, polka dots, shadows in her hair
She said, you take me and I'll take you there

Now she's going round and round inside of my head
I think I'm just a little too close to the edge
Your pull took everything from me
And now I'm falling into this never ending sea

I know you got your best to give to me
You know you hold me out
I know that it seems I have crossed into a dream
Since I, I've been flying, so fly

Big step, jump back, run more into you boy
Good boy, won't stay, as high as your eyes
Sister, twisted, my love to fly
But I wanted for you to give a little bit of everything

I know you got your best to give to me
You know you hold me out
I know it seems that I have crossed into a dream
Since I, I've been flying, so fly

It was blue, and it was red, found a new door open in my head
How could I go to bed, think I'll walk round the moon instead
It was blue, and it was red, found a new door inside of my head
How could I go to bed, think I'll walk round the moon instead

Yea yeah we're gonna take it so far
I'm, I was just a little close to the edge
And you pulled me back you said
That's not how it ends, because
Your pull gave me everything
Flying into this kaleidiscope dream

I know you got your best to give to me
You know you hold me out
I think it seems that I have crossed into a dream
Since I, I've been flying so fly

It was blue, and it was red, found a new door open in my head
How could I go to bed, think I'll walk round the moon instead
It was blue, and it was red, found a new door inside of my head
How could I go to bed, think I'll walk round the moon instead

Moon / Sweet / Hello Again / SDL / Bayou / Lover were all total MVP's
Nancies -> Warehouse was among the loudest I have ever heard a crowd get.

after the last 16 months the fuck i care if they shovel run the end.
show was exactly what it needed to be.

Rapunzel needs an overhaul. Itís a mess.

I really enjoyed listening to this show tonight, though. Very good effort all around. Nice set.

The Jeff solo flute section on WATM kinda reminded me of Traffic. They had sort of psychedelic jams with jazz flute overtop.

It’s kinda weird that so many people were predicting Hello Again tonight, but only as an opener. Yet, they brought that song back out of all of them, and in the middle.

Yeah those Moon lyrics are nothing special….kind of weird and make no sense, but there’s nothing cringey about them and it’s a very different kind of song for Dave which is good—sounds like it’s about some kind of an acid trip or dream he had, and that 60s flute jam makes sense for it. The vocal delivery overall including the harmonies on it were not very good though. Hope it improves. Also couldn’t hear what the horns or Tim were doing on it.
