I feel like even from 2002 onward, Roi wasn't as prominent-sounding as he is on this release. Based on this and LT31, I'm really starting to wonder if this was my favorite year in terms of DMB's sound. JTR, BEF > Bartender, Rapunzel, DDTW... everything just sounds so good.

I always liked the Folsom release back in the day too for that reason. In terms of sound and perfection ‘00-‘04 really can’t go wrong with almost any show. Though Boyd was bad in Early ‘03, and Roi got less prominent over time for sure, but that era is about as good as it gets.

Live Trax Vol. 56: Molson Amphitheatre - 08.10.2001

This was my first show - and at the time I was listening to Listener Supported/LWS/ED a lot, so setlist wise it felt like it couldn’t have been any better for me. The band blew me away. So biasedly very glad to get a SBD/mixed copy of this show.

Who mixed this and turned Butch down to zero? He was supposed to be a featured part of the Heartbeat Intro and I can barely hear him?

Based on these reviews, I guess I’ll just stick with the aud for this show then.

Just finished listening - this show was great. After listening to the aud so many times what a difference. I agree with Tomacco - the performances of all the songs are great

Listening to the first time. This band is really good. I've always loved LT31 as well.

Does it sound like Carter is playing with sticks on Say Goodbye to anyone else? Sounded like he was going for full on rolls in the intro.

It's terrible to say it, but I used to wish Rashawn would keel over on the stage and drop dead in front of all the fans, landing on that fat jelly belly of his.

I'll go back to BEF>Bartender, DDTW, So Right and IIHIA from this release.

I wish he would do something to piss Dave the fuck off. Then get kicked out. Would be funny to see. Boyd was a better band member, let that fucking sink in.

Staring this one. Rapunzel sounds like it should sound, not this heavy metal thing they got going these days.

I think I've heard so much Lovely Ladies lately that I've become immune to rage over them. Angel is not bothering me, even with their extension of the song 3x it's studio length.

I forgot about Butch's "guitar" solos on Watchtower.

Listening to this makes me appreciate even more not hearing a trumpet squeal at the end of every other song.
