I'm not following Ross on Instagram to watch some video clips.

This is why Come On Come On never translated well live, along with the fact that Dave doesn't play a 12 stringer. I really enjoy the studio version (actually really liked the other version on the Batson Sessions better).

In 2012, Mercy was the only repeat across the 3 nights, and in 2018 I'm not sure they repeated anything.
Also, the album might not actually be out yet by the Gorge which makes it even less likely to get repeats.

2005 and 2009 were different though. Lots of new album repeats. So, we'll see.

I do agree though that one's Gorge experience is maximized on non-album tours.
Unfortunately for me, this is one of 6 shows i will be seeing this year. SPAC, Gorge and Mansfield. I was finally pushed for the Gorge when the flecktones signed up and I was also swayed becuase thought 2020 would be a year when the band would be playing diverse enough sets after CT. Now the Flecktones are gone and theres a new album to promote. I have sunk a pretty penny into these tickets already so unless its absolutely the most amazing trip of all time might be my only time going for DMB.

I think this song would work fine live if they played it faster. Its the one song in their catalog that they havent sped up and one that needs it.

True, but its still pretty flat. Strings are missing but something they could quickly fix like you said speed it up and then also put a 12'er in Dave's hands since that helps fill the void too.

Hope we get some songs with production values like Virginia in the Rain. One of their best produced songs since BTCS.

I feel like no matter how good/bad the new album is, at this point in their career there is really no reason to have their traditional "album tour", playing 7-8 songs a night from a new record. You'll have 9 albums, plus a ton of unreleased live tracks to pull from and you've been around 30 years. Nobody wants to see that much of a new album at a DMB show in 2021. Keep it around 3-4 new songs a night. I know this probably won't be the case but for me that would be ideal.

CT tour they kept it pretty light only 3-5 CT songs per night, so it wasnít like SU or BW, so maybe weíll see more of that.

CT and AFTW both had a nice sprinkling of new songs through their tours.

Definitely. That is just a sonic masterpiece - interesting to listen to, and very well arranged.

Because he's in the band. It's been 15 years. Time to accept that as fact, even if you don't like it. :-D

Some of the most famous bands ever were together less.

Heís in the band but heís acting like he owns the band as always. They clearly play this stuff close to the vest so itís just laughable that the rollout is Rashawn posting flip phone photos to his private account.
