What's the lowest R2T vinyl found? I saw #217 and #600 at a local store.

Just listened to the bonus tracks. Nothing too exciting, although I like Typical with the longer solo on the sax. Nice to hear.

25 years ago today.

Also, Brandon's first post in this thread is still one of my favorite posts on the board.

I listened to this album again last month. It’s really incredible from alpha to omega.

I definitely envy those old enough to have seen the band live in 93 or even be into them at that point in time... there was so much awesome growth to look forward to. Wish I could have been there for that. Only 29 and got into the band in Ď99, so I didnít get to experience the climb to that peak.

While some could argue the band was much tighter in the 99-04 period than the earlier years, thereís that sheer rawness of the 93-95 period that just will never be matched or recreated in any way and it was a sound of a hungry band destined for the big time.

I’ll get on it tomorrow. I forgot to continue the polls after the Batson Sessions leaked.

Whenever I need a break from the loud thrashing, I go to this album.

No doubt. This organic sounding DMB is what I fell in love with back then.

Seek Up and Minarets are both perfect on that album.

The full version of Recently 8/10/93 from this is nice. They cut the slowdown jam on the RTT disc. The slowdown jam was a fun change of pace.

Seek Up studio reminds me of Donkey Kong Country

Seek Up studio is fucking quality. I love that cut. I would have loved to have seen it on one of the Big 3 albums though. Not sure which album it would have fit best on, perhaps UTTAD or BTCS.

Agreed I think it would have fit nicely on UTTAD. I can’t believe how much of a monster it became live. How many songs has the band turned into live powerhouses since ‘00? There really are not many, almost none that turned into 15-20 min multiple member jam monsters. I miss that.

Two Step, Bartender, Seek Up, Warehouse, Crush etc all so epic live. I don’t think the band has made another live epic song like those where there are so many different sections in decades.

Bartender evolved a ton since 2000. Also would argue dreaming tree post 2008 and LITHOG. But yes, far and few between.
