Really, you take that as me being serious? I don't take anything on a message board that seriously....

I don't know what it is, but the versions of Idea of You I heard live on 6/2/06 and 6/3/06 will be forever what made me love that song, and what they have done ever since has just almost ruined what I have once felt for the song. I know most will disagree with me and say they love Carters fullness of drums during the chorus, but too me its just sounds so much better without them.

I agree with you. My all-time favorite is still the first one. Maybe because I was there for it? No idea, but I've seen plenty of others say that as well. It was one of those rare few that sounded fantastic the first time out of the gate and really didn't need anything added.

That said, I'll still take it. And I'm still blown away that it's never made an album.

Agree 100%. I love that version as well, and a lot of it probably has to do with being there for it, but what a great new song to come out at what was a pretty good weekend.

I still say IOY would make a wonderful Summer single. It's a very exciting song.

6.3.06 was the best, imo. I dont care for the new drumming or lyrical arrangement. Those first ones just had that EDGE. carter dominated them

I agree. Don't give me this kid loving the babysitter crap. Bring back the creepy want to bang a teenager angle. Must have freaked out his wife or something.

I'm sure she is used to his sick tendencies by now . I mean the man spoke about a prostitute in the 2000 versions of Raven, a one night stand in Say Goodbye, plastic assholes in Kit Kat Jam, killing a lover in Hello Again, and my personal favorite, dedicating Lover Lay Down to an 8 year old girl years ago
