DMB thinks it's 2006

N1: Shotgun
N2: Break Free, Idea of You, Can't Stop, Sister
N3: Kill the King

I have no problem with this. But can they also think it's 2004?

True, but it's the kind of thing that shows they're being deliberate with this and it could lead to good things. If nothing else it address the #1 complaint of complacency.

6 songs, 2 of which they have been playing anyway in recent years. I'm not trying to be that guy, just saying. I'll stay out of this now.

i see what you're saying, if they keep digging elsewhere at future stops then cool, but if this batch of songs is pretty much what they're busting out this year then that's lame.

I think I agree with that.

But it once was. C'ville '06 and SPAC '08 will always give me hope.

These are songs that need to played so they can evolve. It makes no sense to play them on a short "tour."

so, certain songs just shouldn't be played on these caravan stops simply because it's not a full tour? come on man.

Maybe it's some sort of theme and at the next fest they'll dig deep into a different year.

Probably not though, they rarely seem to put any kind of real thought into their sets.

Maybe they're thinking about releasing a live B-sides type thing

Really interested in hearing KTK. I imagine it'll sound very different now with Tim and no Butch, who added tons of organ to it before.

B-sides album is coming to fruition. Who thought Dave would actually remember songs like Kill the King and Break Free after so much time has passed? I would bet most of us thought those songs went the way of Get In Line, or Spotlight.
