"Smoke my weed at night" from studio BOWA

Anyone else remember this? If you listen to the end of the studio track it sounds like dave says this.

I always thought it was funny and for some reason it popped it my head. Probably because I think Roorz are so legit or something.

I smoke in the early-mid-late-early morning. . . But never at dusk! Never at dusk, I would never do that.

Whispered by Dave after Carter's nasty drum roll at the end of KKJ (I believe?).

At least I'm *pretty* sure it's on KKJ.

I tried to find a version on YT where you can hear it, but alas they're pretty crappy rips.

Under the Table and Dreaming

Best of Whats Around- 3:46- Sounds like Dave saying “ Smoke my weed at night” or something about light

Rhyme and Reason
0:40-0:41 - Someone says "No sooner dead."

What Would You Say
2:18-2:37 - People screaming "Oh yeah!" and lots of other mumbling

#34
2:19 - Dave mumbling

Crash

Two Step
0:45-0:49 - Someone sings "Back, is, the day."

2:45-2:51 - "Two two two, two two two, two two, two two, two, two two." is whispered by Dave.

5:32-5:59 - Dave sings "They are all fa-falling on me oh. Over all, I took it all, I'll take it all with me. For a while, you'll do without. I will go and free us all, all alone forgetting, is you, me."

6:05-6:12 - Dave sings "Only I'll fall away, I'll fall away, I'll fall all over you."

6:15-6:26 - Dave sings "Only I'll go this way, climbing two by two, to be sure that these days continue."

Drive In, Drive Out
3:27-3:36 - Someone whispering, can't make it out.

5:52-5:54 - Carter says "That, is bad as shit."

Lie In Our Graves
2:40-4:57 - Over two minutes of talking can be heard in the background. This has been said to be a ping pong game caught on tape by Steve Lillywhite. Because there is so much I'll just list in order the clearer portions of the talking. First thing a laugh can be heard. "Why don't you come to bat?" "No thanks" "It's in!" "No it's not." "Come on shoot Boyd" "hahah" "I'll get it (said in a deep voice)." "Shit!" "Don't worry about it." "Hit the target." "Jesus, this is just far out." "Oh my God a microphone, oh no(Girl laughing at the same time)!" More of the girl laughing. At 3:10 the music gets louder and it's hard to make out what is being said. At 3:50 there is victorious screaming and some more of that girl. At 4:20 you can hear a little again. "Says he misses you a lot." "...make it today." "Nuh uh!" More of that girl laughing. "He hasn't even told you so?" "Yes(girl)!" "Aaaa(girl sighing)" "YEEEE" More laughing. "What?" 4:57 back into the song.

5:34-5:42 - More talking. "...it's that long. All of a sudden he's like himself..." laughing. Girl says at the same time "Where? I looked and I don't know."

Proudest Monkey
0:18-0:23 - Dave says "No matters give like the street." Someone with a quick reply "That's news." Someone else says "D'ya know what I'm saying?" Someone replies "Everyone knows how you do it." This is all said very quickly and Dave's part is hard to figure out, but it's something like that. The other parts I'm pretty sure of.

Dave also sings a lot during the musical build at around the 6:00 mark, but it is slightly drowned.

Before These Crowded Streets

Rapunzel
1:09-1:23 - Dave sings "Yeah... yeah... ohh..."

4:20-4:21 - Dave sings "You make me feel high."

4:40-4:44 - Dave sings something like "oh, oh, play it Roi, Roi."

5:44-5:47 - Dave whispers "Carter Beauford on the drums, Carter Beauford on the drums, Carter Beauford, Carter Beauford, Carter Beauford on the drums."

5:44-5:49 - Cell phone rings twice.

5:47-6:00 - Sounds like a playful argument that starts to Fade in at 5:47, gets louder and continues until 6:00. First understandable thing is someone yelling "Yeah right!" (5:52) and at the same time someone else yells "You son of a bitch!" (5:53) Then you hear "Wait a minute" (5:54) followed by "It was on the line" (5:55) and then "Whoa, that was on the line!" (5:57) and finally "Well then re-serve. (5:58-5:59) Basically there are a lot of things happening in this argument and in whole. This potentially "ping pong" related, argument is mainly heard in the right earphone while the other stuff is on the left or both. You have to block out the other parts to fully hear this.

5:50-5:54 - Someone is talking gibberish, sounds a little like German.

5:51-5:52 - LeRoi answers phone and says "Hello?"

5:54-5:57 - LeRoi continues "Hey Greg, Hey I can't talk right now I'm right in the middle of drum work."

5:57-5:58 - Someone else says "Tell him we'll see his bitch." -OR- "Tell him we'll sing in his pitch."

5:59-6:00 - LeRoi says "Hello?" again.

There is debate over Dave on the cell phone some say it's Carter or Leroi instead. The book "Music For The People" claims it's Dave, I agree.

The Last Stop
0:01-0:02 - Someone says "Silence is Poetry."

0:05-0:06 - Someone says "I think he deserves a shot."

0:09-0:10 - Someone quickly replies "Not yet."

0:14-0:15 - Then another reply "Why not?"

0:29-0:33 - Someone says "Get him, Get him...Get him, Get him...Get him."or something along this line.

1:24-1:25 - "Why not?" again.

6:20-6:22 - "Hey...come on."

There is more talking within the first 20 seconds but it's hard to make out.

Don't Drink The Water
2:14-2:15 - Alanis sings "Make them stay." behind Dave.

2:18-2:19 - Alanis sings "bury you" behind Dave.

2:40-2:43 - Alanis sings "Or I will silence" behind Dave.

3:49-3:51 - Alanis sings "So move aside for me" behind Dave.

3:57-3:58 - Dave says "I will obey."

4:09-4:15 - Alanis sings "You must move on or I will bury you." behind Dave.

4:23-4:23 - Dave quickly says "Who's that?"

5:05-5:32 - Alanis sings backing vocals but they are pretty clear here.

5:42-6:35 - Alanis singing backing vocals again, but if you listen she is singing two different parts, one in each earphone.

Dave continues singing something at 6:24 but it's hard to make out.

If you hear Dave say "suppose I'm gay, a homo yeah" your not alone. Apparently there is a Lillywhite story to go along with why this was said, I can not find it. Maybe it was message board talk with him?

Stay
1:54-1:56 - Sounds like "oop ada hebba." is sang.

Halloween
2:16-2:19 - Dave says something like "You reckoning well, we can give my dad instruments, run away."

3:39-3:45 - A girl says "Ok, that much we can do" in the left earphone. It sounds as if the same girl says something like "So now we can...we can...still see...and not..." in the right earphone starting at same time as the word "that' from the left.

3:58-3:59 - Dave says "yeah huh"

4:00-4:35 - Dave sings "In the sky, is that woe? Up from the ground and space, haven't you got room? I felt your temperature rises and I fell across the naked world. Rest away with me"

4:27-4:30 - Alanis yells "Fucking asked for it, mother fucker!" -OR- "You fucking ass, you fucking mother fucker!"

The Stone
0:00-0:03 - Sounds like a man mumbling.

0:07-0:12 - Same mumbling.

0:22-0:25 - Same mumbling.
The Lillywhite Sessions
Kit Kat Jam
5:13-5:20 - Dave scatting

5:26-5:27 - Dave whispers "Carter."

Monkey Man
7:17-7:18 - Someone says something like "No I don't."

Busted Stuff-
Grace is Gone- Listen with the volume all the way up. A lot of talking, sounds like Dave mumbling, and then right at the end someone laughs and says "that's some bad ass shit."

Bartender- At the 3:08 mark in your right headphone Dave says “leave”

Stand Up-

Louisiana Bayou- 0:05 Dave says James or Change

Hello Again- 0:48 Dave says Take back the day then it sounds like Dave says Rashawn.
1:53- Something about a backyard is said, a lot of jibberish

Dreamgirl-
3:12- Is something wrong, Dave says this

Stand Up-
Some where between sex and being saved- beginning of song

Trouble With You( I had to turn my volume all the way up on my ipod to hear this) but I think Mark Batson says " it's all about Carter." at the beginning.
