So is Ryley Walker someone that people have heard of before? No one really seems to be wondering who the hell he is like I am.

Also, re: lyrics on an officially released LWS... I've always been under the impression that the versions of songs we have aren't necessarily the last iterations of the songs pre-Ballard. I wouldn't expect Monkey Man to have any more set lyrics, but maybe Raven and KKJ would.

I've never really considered the timeline. Are you saying the recording we have is likely from Winter '99-Spring '00 and there may be a few more finished/polished versions of the songs laid down perhaps over the course of the Summer? August-September-October before they blew up the session completely, fired SL and brough in Ballard to work/brainstorm with Dave?

I didn't mind that cover. Wasn't sure at first but I think he had me by the end. My curiosity is piqued.

If the generally accepted (though Stefan-disputed) story of how the LWS leak happened is accurate, then what we have is the most complete recordings from those sessions. But of course we donít know that for sure.

Yeah, I never really put much thought into it.

He's around.

He had a single from his 2016 album that got a lot of radio play, its called "The Roundabout".

Here's an NPR article about it, with the song embedded.

And DMB gave away more albums than they've reported sold, thats a negative number. Walker probably has a positive revenue stream for his albums.

You just said that Ryley Walker probably has better album sales numbers than Dave Matthews Band. You're honestly gonna tell me saying something that completely outlandish wasn't for attention?

Just giving you what you want my friend, I was feeling generous.

I think it's very likely true more people actually paid for Riley Walker's albums than the last DMB album. You live in a delusion of grandeur about this band.

You think it's very likely true? Since when do you not post cited facts?

So you think dmb sucks now and has no popular appeal because they play sets built around songs off their shitty albums. You think this guy is a current day musical god who has great popular appeal and makes great music. This guy just happens to love dmb, but he thinks their best songs are the ones off their shitty albums? So he has shitty taste in music?

This feels like some sort of riddle.
