But really, how good is D&T now? Last stuff I saw online was meh.....Dave's voice is not strong enough for this setup anymore and the tunes/setlists are meh? right? Unless something has changed......

I mean, the last time they played legit shows we got this:

Dave's voice sounded real good on Sunday night. Infact I feel like his voice is better suited for d&t now. Much more subtle atmoshpere. 3 nighrs in Mexico with no repeats seems like an awesome way to force them to prepare for a tour to me

ok, I guess I didn't pay attention to this last time around and was thinking of the time before....good to know, makes me want to go a little more now....

The venue here in TX is like 10 minutes from my old neighbor I grew up in. It's the perfect medium size venue with great acoustics. No seat feels bad, well except for the very top.......

key word is "shows" (plural), and you linked to N2. That's the only hope for a D&T set.

Those Oakland shows fall into my top 10 D+T shows of all-time, no joke. That N2 could be better than anything in '03. Loved em. I agree 100% that Mexico will be a great way to kick off the tour and give them a chance to play a big chunk of catalog. However, I'm not as optimistic. I actually think they will repeat a handful of songs over the course of the 3 nights. I hope I'm wrong, but I think I could see 3-5 repeats, like Samurai Cop or one of the other songs Dave has been super attached to lately. Hopefully not though, and even still, we're going to see a lot of cool stuff pop up

All the upstate ny area shows suck and will continue to suck.
Stay away from those, I don't need competition getting tix

Other shows I fell will be good and have enjoyed seeing d&t when I can

That set honestly looks like garbage. So many duds in there.

Edit: when were the two shows when Dave flubbed a bunch of songs N1 and came back all rehearsed for n2?

Wow, I couldn't disagree more. So many awesome songs, including D&T classics that have since become rarities like Seek Up, Minarets and Warehouse. Sister, LRB, and WAYG really bug you that much in a set like this?

Dave can't play a set without duds anymore. There are too many in the catalog. That set to me looks about as good as you can expect from D&T these days

Yeah, I was a bit surprised as well. I am worried the primo seats for the Dallas show are going to be tough given the Verizon theatre season tickets, Citi, holdbacks for the Dreaming Tree wines thing, and corporate sponsors...

I'm hoping D+T bust out a full Let You Down either in mexico or Europe. Someone bring a sign, send a tweet, reminder Dave it exists.

$95 damn
That makes me think "do I really want to go see the show?", once you are over $90

Yeah that extra $5 bucks is tough...

I think the sticker shock of $100 bucks a ticket is where I mentally can't do it anytmore
