This will allow Dave to start testing new songs for his new solo album

What are the chances we get a US tour later in the year now that this has been announced?

Cool to see Europe getting some more D&T love. I wonder if London will get Sugar Will. Obviously I hope it carries over to the states and we get a sizable tour.

I want as much new/different material as possible, that's my wish for this tour.

I'm glad there will be something Dave-related to follow in 2017.

A Dave and Tim sugar will is very intriguing to me. Let's make this happen.

Knew there would be a tour, and I would expect some kind of US tour too. Ampitheaters would be AWFUL. Please god no with that crap. Though I could see a caravan style tour coming to ampitheaters--D+T, Dave solo sets with other artists throughout. I don't think just a standard D+T tour would be ampitheaters.. the full band had a tough time selling those out the last few years as it is

Please don't put D&T in ampitheaters here in the US. I so badly want a D&T tour, but don't want a part of that crowd for a D&T show.

I posted in nDMBc, but I went to a Jason Isbell show a couple of weeks ago and loved everything about the show, but one of the greatest things was it being at a venue where people were respectful and paying attention. During one of his songs you could literally hear a pin drop. We've all been down this in regards to DMB crowds.

Funniest part of the show was Isbell got after people right away after the first song and telling people to put away their phones and quit taping and just enjoy the show.

Dave is just too big of an act for it to ever be like that again. Maybe in another 10-15 years, but right now despite the fact they haven't made relevant music and haven't been in the mainstream, they are still one of the most famous touring acts right now and with that brings crowds of people that don't care all that much about the music and are more concerned with partying and having a good time and hearing the hits

But I agree about ampitheaters because I think if we as fans want to limit the noise and rowdyness smaller the venue the better. If they didn't serve alcohol at these shows that would help a hell of a lot too. Playing a place like Radio City, where there's no parking lot where you can tailgate and get wasted for cheap for hours before the show would help.

Was that song Cover Me Up? Isbell is a big time boss.

I feel like the giant "DMB-mainstay" amphitheaters would be way too big; but places like The Mann in Philly and the Constellation Brands PAC that they've played in the past; capacities top out between 14-15k.

It'll still seem too big, but really, I'd guess they could fill it and it'd be more than financially viable.

Mario? Thoughts?

I've also wanted Josh Ritter to open. What'd you think of his set?

Is there anywhere they could play in TN if they're US dates? I'm new to the area.

Definitely. I'd also guess the demand to fill 10k seat venues in the summer would be there for the novelty of saying "I saw a Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds show," for those fans who never have.

Just because I don't really have the desire to catch a show doesn't mean most people don't.
